[time-nuts] Re: Source code to Lady Heather
I used a monitoring website that tracks website status to see what information it had about tinyupload.com. It showed down for more than a week. Also Archive.org grabbed the tinyupload page offer to download heatherx11.zip, but not the contents. Sad it had php garbage obscuring the actual file. If the project is open source gitlab has full facilities for such projects, maybe the owner would consider putting it there. A project I just joined went there with our project, no costs. thanks Jim On 5/15/2021 6:16 PM, James Wilson wrote: Hi Michael, unfortunately the link on the page (to tinyupload.com) is broken; the whole site is not responding. I've successfully built it in WSL right now. Sincerely, Michael вс, 16 мая 2021 г. в 00:01, James Wilson : Is there a source code download link for v6+ of Lady Heather? I found the 2019 EEVBlog thread with an updated Windows binary but I would like to compile from source for OS X and/or Linux. The author expressed a desire at the time to put the code on Github but I didn’t see any follow-through. ___ time-nuts mailing list -- time-nuts@lists.febo.com -- To unsubscribe send an email to time-nuts-le...@lists.febo.com To unsubscribe, go to and follow the instructions there. ___ time-nuts mailing list -- time-nuts@lists.febo.com -- To unsubscribe send an email to time-nuts-le...@lists.febo.com To unsubscribe, go to and follow the instructions there.
Re: [time-nuts] Voyager space probe question
Twitter has tracking posts for both the DSN and the Voyagers themselves. there is a phase for every operation with the voyagers as Jim describes, followed by data transfer (for instance lately 159b/s) DSS 14 carrier lock on Voyager 1 Frequency: 8.4199GHz Signal strength: -156dBm OUT OF LOCK OFF 1 MCD2 DSS 14 receiving data from Voyager 1 at 159b/s. IN LOCK OFF 1 MCD2 @NASAVoyager is 21 hrs 03 mins 24 secs of light-travel time from Earth (2020:333:12:1L) @NSFVoyager2 I am currently 17 hrs 28 mins 57 secs of light-travel time from Earth (2020:333:00:2L) My favorite part of the JPL tour (Mission control) is the live status of the Voyager spacecraft. They've been on Twitter for years now. thanks Jim On 11/28/2020 3:12 PM, jimlux wrote: A good part of the "art" of communicating with an "old" spacecraft is knowing/predicting/guessing where the "best lock frequency" is, because DSN sweeps very slowly through that frequency hoping the spacexraft receiver acquires it in a <10Hz BW filter. If you don't see the transmitter frequency (in turnaround mode) jump when acquisition occurs, you widen up the sweep, or slow it down, or turn up the exciter power. ___ time-nuts mailing list -- time-nuts@lists.febo.com To unsubscribe, go to http://lists.febo.com/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts_lists.febo.com and follow the instructions there.

[time-nuts] Two HP 5061A Cesium units still for sale
Thanks for looking. Please reply to this off list to my email jwsmail < at > jwsss dot com I have for sale two remaining HP 5061As. One is sold. These two both run as far as the oscillators, but only one locks at 10mhz running at this time. https://imgur.com/gallery/SuPZqJL (in the photos, only the 5061a's are for sale) They both have updated tubes, tubes are FTS Cesium Beam Tubes. I'm asking 700 for the one which runs with 10mhz output, and 350 for the other. Both probably should be kept together to allow fixing one. Finally for any of the supplies or other rubidium or quartz which can use it, I have an HP 5089 backup power supply. I'm asking 700 for it. All of these are (OBO), and plus shipping from 92868. *** shipping blurb *** my friend will probably need 100 to package each (will refund if less, or charge actual). you can calculate shipping from 92868 figure 10" x 20" x 20 deep and add 4" over all. use that for dimensional weight. I found a 5061B manual https://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dga/time/5061/5061B_ops.pdf which has a 64# weight for the actual unit. i suspect we'll get close to or over 75# for the weight, but they will take it on UPS or FEDX. ___ time-nuts mailing list -- time-nuts@lists.febo.com To unsubscribe, go to http://lists.febo.com/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts_lists.febo.com and follow the instructions there.
