Re: [time-nuts] Fake new LPRO 101 Rb's on Ebay?

2020-02-05 Thread Christoph Kopetzky
They are definitely not new as stated in the item state. In the
description you can read at every seller "used item"...

So the brandnew state is only a price leader.
In addition there are several seller (you.are.you, cncdeals5 and
color-fashion-6) with small price differences and shipping costs
but all the same pictures... Delivery timeframe to germany between 16th
of march and 13th of may :( So delivery with ship container...

I became very critical to chines sellers because I bought several items
in the last month from chinese sellers and over 50 % was only

expensive garbadge after receiving and testing.
And I do not know whether I should buy from a seller who is using
several accounts to sell the goods...
In the meantime I do have a few sellers who are trustworthy and
everytime I bought something the things are quite in a very good state

with fast shipping time  and not defective.
So you have to make your own experiences :)

OK, coronavirus fun aside, is it possible that these LPRO-101's that are

units in a box that never got put into service? That would suggest that
they have full life available on the Rb lamp.

I agree with Esa. Ozone is a good method for contact-free desinfecting

Ladies and gentlemen, Ozone is terrible for any sort of elastomer or
polymer. It's highly reactive, etc. They use it purify water, but
that's a sort of special case - you want the pathogens to be broken. You
don't want sealing materials and polymer packages degrading

(for what it's worth UV also tends to break things down)

Quarantine would be a better bet.

I suppose you could do Ethylene Oxide (which works at lower temperatures
and is less reactive than Ozone)

Thank you.

The figures for the US, for this winter season, from "seasonal flu", stand
at a quarter of a million hospitalisations, and about 20,000 deaths. This
is the "normal" flu. Please note that the number of deaths is constantly
being revised upwards for any particular week, as reports come in for cause
of death.

If the 500 deaths so far in China had occurred within the USA, during
January, they might not be detectable in the background.

Further (updated) figures here:

I am in Singapore, 3500km from Wuhan (about Chicago to Tijuana), and the
panic here is hard to describe. Restaurants with three hour waiting on
weekends have empty tables.

Very few vira can survive 14 days, and for all we know at present
that time is sufficient to desinfect 2019-nCov, and to detect any
infections.

A few specialized infectious agents have the ability to produce
"spores" which can survive for *long* periods of time, and then
revive on contact with humidity.  The best known example is Anthrax.
