[Tinyos-help] TinyOS support for MSP430F5438A MCU
Hi, I'm planning the material to make a new platform and I'm thinking to use the TI MSP430F5438A MCU http://www.ti.com/product/msp430f5438a . I know someone already developed the source code to manage it, so what I have to do to integrate it whit the Tinyos svn-trunk code ? If I'm not** mistaken, actually the MSP430F5438A hasn't been integrated into the trunk http://code.google.com/p/tinyos-main/source/checkout . The last question is is there a web-site dedicated to the TIMSP430F5438A TinyOS software development? Thanks in advance. ___ Tinyos-help mailing list Tinyos-help@millennium.berkeley.edu https://www.millennium.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tinyos-help
[Tinyos-help] Make docs problem
Hi, I am trying to figure out the error of the topdir. but i suspect that the path i am specifying as the top level directory is incorrect. I looked at previous message that is about the same problem, as u can see in the below link http://mail.millennium.berkeley.edu/pipermail/tinyos-help/2003-December/002663.html but the problem still does not solve. I try also to copy the following fiels Copy the following files: - profile to /etc - tinyos.sh to /etc/profile.d - Makelocal to /opt/tinyos-1.x/tools/make (assuming TinyOS is installed in /opt/tinyos-1.x). But still I have the same problem *Is it possible if you can tell me the top level dir. for tinyos1.x.* thanks Yazeed ___ Tinyos-help mailing list Tinyos-help@millennium.berkeley.edu https://www.millennium.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tinyos-help
[Tinyos-help] urgent: how to model packet loss
Hi everyone, i'm developing a routing algorithm in tinyos2.1, and compile it for micaz in tossim. i need to test my algorithm's robustness against packet losses (10% to 50% packet loss), i don't know how exactly it should be done? i tried to manipulate noise model and it did help but i don't know how to relate a noise model with an exact percent of packet loss. [Tinyos-help] Problem with crossbow motes
I started using the crossbow's motes (MTS420 platform - micaz/mica2) and I have been problem. I tried send an application for the sources and now one of them isn't been recognized in network. I rebooted the other sources and they were ok. However, exceptionally this source, did not work. I've tried to upload the firmware, but I really do not know which firmware suitable for him. Can you tell me what should I do? Another thing, I couldn't submit an application for the motes, for example the blink application. In the notepad, after to compiling, I made make micaz reinstall mib520 (because I use USB port), com3 (the lower port) and I got the following error MIB520 must be *defined, try make micaz help. Stop. * Best Regards, -- Marianna Araújo ___ Tinyos-help mailing list Tinyos-help@millennium.berkeley.edu https://www.millennium.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tinyos-help

Re: [Tinyos-help] Telosb image processing
rupesh vishwakarma wrote: yes I am working in 16 MHZ what can i do to make it fast process Well...The MSP chip doesn't have a Multiply instruction (I'm a little surprised because the ATMEGA does and I never bothered to look). But it does do 16 bit integer Add and Sub so that's something... Therefore you need to be very careful with your math, and possibly hand-asm-code the inner loops. Also access to the external EEPROM may be rather slow, you should look into comparing the speed with the internal Flash memory for your image storage. Probably transferring larger blocks of data from ROM to RAM will help a bit too. [Tinyos-help] BaseStation Question
All: I am looking into writing a gateway application and am curious if the BaseStation application will suit my needs. My primary questioin is at what level BaseStation forwards bridges network packets to serial port. My goal will be to run on top of CTP (I can do some reconfiguration of BaseStation for this) but it is important to my gateway that I have the CTP headers rather than just the CTP payloads. How hard will it be to allow this behavior in the BaseStation application?
