you can ignore those errors.

Re: [Tinyos-help] graphviz

2011-05-20 Thread Romain Bornet
Hi,

I'm not familiar with TOSSIM and tinyos 1.x but a quick search on Google says:

I want to know that TinyOS 2.x supports TinyViz or not.
...
It does not.
...

(from mailing-list archive:
http://mail.millennium.berkeley.edu/pipermail/tinyos-help/2006-September/019467.html)

As far as I know, the simulator has been largely rewritten with TinyOS
2.x and it is no longer compatible with older tools. TOSSIM is now
controlled via Python or C++ as explained in Tutorial lesson 11:
http://docs.tinyos.net/index.php/TOSSIM

TinyViz is no longer integrated in the standard TinyOS distribution
but I think there are alternatives.

For example TosVis (
http://docs.tinyos.net/index.php/TinyOS_2.x_index_of_contributed_code#TosVis
) in the tinyos-contrib seems to be something useful.

The IWING group seems to have developed some useful tools. They have a
Mercurial repository here: http://cloud3.cpe.ku.ac.th/hg/

Hope this helps

Hi,

I would like to know if i must install this GraphViz directly on my host or
 on the VirtualBox.

If you, as you wrote, you work program in your VirtualBox
environment then you'll have to install Graphviz on your Virtualbox
*guest* machine. This would make no sense to install it on your host
machine... Programs installed on your host are not visible from your
guest/Virtualbox.

i would like to know how to  visualized the results
What kind of results do you want to visualize ? Graphviz and the
tutorial you mentioned are not for visualizing data (e.g. data
collected by your program running on the mote) but to generate a graph
of your application components (= graphical representation of your
code). Is it really what you want to do ?

 Hi,

I am currently using crossbow mica2 hardware kit. I often use MoteView and
Moteworks rather than cygwin.Installed the software using crossbow installation
CD carefully followed the installation instructions

However I am trying to compile the graphviz diagram using 'make mica2 docs'
function but cygwin produces an error saying TOP DIRS: opt/MoteWorks along
with -nesc -topdir- options and make *** [docs_] Error 1.

Do I need to move my files under MoteWorks tree/ directory?

What doe this mean?

[Tinyos-help] Graphviz on Cygwin

As far as I know Graphviz is only used by the documentation feature of
TinyOS to create graphics. As mentioned in the installation
instruction (http://www.tinyos.net/tinyos-2.x/doc/html/install-tinyos.html
(bottom of the page)) you can download it here:

[Tinyos-help] graphviz mac os x

2008-04-01 Thread Antonio Ruzzelli

Hi guys,

I would like to install Graphviz on mac os x (Tiger). Initially I was
getting this error:

sh: line 1: dot: command not found
I guess it was complaining because graphviz was not installed
I checked Kevin Klues's installation instructions but it seems there
are not instructions for it. Therefore, I tried to use fink (fink
install graphviz)

but when I make telosb docs I get the following error:
Error: Could not find/open font : Times-Roman
If I remove graphviz (fink remove graphviz) the initial error appears.

I do not know if I am installing the correct version of graphviz or...
Do you have any suggestion about how to make this working?

Regards,
Antonio

You can add ...Graphviz\bin to your PATH.

Hi.

I am using Graphviz(ver 2.12) on TinyOS 2.0.1 well.
However, I also can see the error message not the right version:... when
I

run tos-check-env. So, I think you can run graphviz despite the error
message.

I installed Graphviz 2.12(graphviz-2.12.tar.gz) which you can download from
http://www.graphviz.org/Download_source.php;

Then, as you can see, you can install as follows
  - tar -xzvf *.gz
  - ./configure
  - make
  - make install

Regards.

[Tinyos-help] graphviz

2007-02-05 Thread fatima cabot

Hi, I'm using tinyos2.0 over Ubuntu 6. Following all the tutorial
instructions, when you get to do the 'tos-check-env', there is a warning
about graphviz (it says version 1.10 is needed). The version installed by
tinyos is a later one. I've surfed the net to find that version, but the rpm
has many dependencies and is not working. Any ideas?

Thanks

How exactly do I use Graphviz? Could someone link me to the documentation on
it, I can't seem to find any mention of it on the TinyOS site except for

My GraphViz install has a doc directory...
but I don't remember where/when I got it.
Try: type dotand see if there's anything
interesting nearby.

Also it's a fairly standard 'product', you should
be able to Google up about a million hits.

2007-01-25 Thread Benjamin Madore
Thanks!
That's what I was looking for.

The docs thing wasn't clear to me, I had assumed from description that
make docs made the tinyos Documents like the Tutorial and such in the /doc
directory, and you ran it there.

I completely missed the connection, and couldn't come up with anything on a
search as to where tinyos used graphviz.

For general information on graphviz, see: http://graphviz.org/

Within tinyos, graphviz is used when you add the docs target to an
 invocation of make, for example:

 $ cd /opt/tinyos-2.x/apps/Blink
 $ make micaz docs

The documentation will be produced in HTML in
/opt/tinyos-2.x/doc/nesdoc. You can browse the documentation tree with:

  file:///opt/tinyos-2.x/doc/nesdoc/micaz/index.html

 Hope that helps,
 tony
