Re: [Tinyos-help] graphviz
Hi, I'm not familiar with TOSSIM and tinyos 1.x but a quick search on Google says: I want to know that TinyOS 2.x supports TinyViz or not. ... It does not. ... (from mailing-list archive: http://mail.millennium.berkeley.edu/pipermail/tinyos-help/2006-September/019467.html) As far as I know, the simulator has been largely rewritten with TinyOS 2.x and it is no longer compatible with older tools. TOSSIM is now controlled via Python or C++ as explained in Tutorial lesson 11: http://docs.tinyos.net/index.php/TOSSIM TinyViz is no longer integrated in the standard TinyOS distribution but I think there are alternatives. For example TosVis ( http://docs.tinyos.net/index.php/TinyOS_2.x_index_of_contributed_code#TosVis ) in the tinyos-contrib seems to be something useful. The IWING group seems to have developed some useful tools. They have a Mercurial repository here: http://cloud3.cpe.ku.ac.th/hg/ Hope this helps Romain On Thu, May 19, 2011 at 4:27 PM, amel leyla m198...@hotmail.fr wrote: Hi Romain, Thanks for your quick answer . Hi, I would like to know if i must install this GraphViz directly on my host or on the VirtualBox. If you, as you wrote, you work program in your VirtualBox environment then you'll have to install Graphviz on your Virtualbox *guest* machine. This would make no sense to install it on your host machine... Programs installed on your host are not visible from your guest/Virtualbox. i would like to know how to visualized the results What kind of results do you want to visualize ? Graphviz and the tutorial you mentioned are not for visualizing data (e.g. data collected by your program running on the mote) but to generate a graph of your application components (= graphical representation of your code). [Tinyos-help] graphviz
Hi, I'm using tinyos2.0 over Ubuntu 6. Following all the tutorial instructions, when you get to do the 'tos-check-env', there is a warning about graphviz (it says version 1.10 is needed). The version installed by tinyos is a later one. I've surfed the net to find that version, but the rpm has many dependencies and is not working. Any ideas? Hello, How exactly do I use Graphviz? Could someone link me to the documentation on it, I can't seem to find any mention of it on the TinyOS site except for installing it. -Ben -- The difference between the right word and the almost right word is really a large matter- it's the difference between a lightning bug and the lightning. -Twain ___ Tinyos-help mailing list Tinyos-help@Millennium.Berkeley.EDU https://mail.millennium.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tinyos-help
Re: [Tinyos-help] Graphviz
My GraphViz install has a doc directory... but I don't remember where/when I got it. Try: type dotand see if there's anything interesting nearby. Also it's a fairly standard 'product', you should be able to Google up about a million hits. MS Benjamin Madore wrote: Hello, How exactly do I use Graphviz? Re: [Tinyos-help] Graphviz
Thanks! That's what I was looking for. The docs thing wasn't clear to me, I had assumed from description that make docs made the tinyos Documents like the Tutorial and such in the /doc directory, and you ran it there. I completely missed the connection, and couldn't come up with anything on a search as to where tinyos used graphviz. On Thu, January 25, 2007 2:31 pm, tmancill said: For general information on graphviz, see: http://graphviz.org/ Within tinyos, graphviz is used when you add the docs target to an invocation of make, for example: $ cd /opt/tinyos-2.x/apps/Blink $ make micaz docs The documentation will be produced in HTML in /opt/tinyos-2.x/doc/nesdoc. You can browse the documentation tree with: file:///opt/tinyos-2.x/doc/nesdoc/micaz/index.html Hope that helps, tony On Thu, Jan 25, 2007 at 01:05:44PM -0500, Benjamin Madore wrote: Hello, How exactly do I use Graphviz?
