Frank, you take it, don't you?

I tried Neurontin in 2001. It made me too sleepy so it was stopped. In August
2001 I saw Dr. Kerr who started me on Marinol, Phenobarbital and Nortriptyline.

If anyone is thinking of stopping Neurontin, tell your doctor before, AND TAPER
DOWN slowly

Good Luck

Over 500 mobile homes destroyed in a mobile home park in the San Fernando
Valley,
with about 5 active fires right now, the evacuation toll was up to about 18,000
or more, but many people (who still have homes) are able to return.

Cindy McLeroy is closer to the Anaheim Hills fires. I am more east, so I am
only getting the residual smoke. And of course they have to air live on
every single network play-by-play activity of these fires. Nothing else on TV
but the fires.

Rick Steele had to evacuate during the last firestorm, but his home was saved.
He is probably safe now, because there is nothing left to burn around him.

Debbie

I live here in So Cal., East Ventura County. We are about 20 miles from the
Sylmar fire. It is so terribly hot and windy now. Optimum conditions for
the fires, unfortunately. Yes, smoke fills the air. We went to Rick Steeles
home a few days ago. The last fire came right to his property line. They
were lucky to have a home to come home to. Let's hope the weather changes
very, very soon.

Re: [TMIC] California Fires

2008-11-16 Thread Cindy McLeroy
We actually have a large group of us in Southern CA. In the last fires about 2
mo ago one of our members, Rick Steele, in Porter Ranch had to evacuate and
almost lost his home. The flames came right up to his property line. Another
one of our members is in an area where all the freeways are closed and for her
the smoke it making it terrible hard to breathe as she also had COPD. I
haven't check on all the members of our SoCal Support group yet, but I think
most of us are okay, just dealing with ashes and smoke. Yesterday I went to
visit my Mom's house in Fullerton and could see the flames on the Ridgeway, so
of them spread a mile or so apart. The flames were probably about 5 miles from
her house. We had to exit the freeway because just up the way they were afraid
the fires were going to just the freeway. Scary!! All of us know so many folks
in the fire areas and are wishing the best for them.

Today, in my area at least the temp has cooled down to the mid 80ies and the
wind has calmed down This is a great help in controlling the fires. The fire
personnel we have in So. Cal are absolutely the best.

I'm in No. CA, so very safe here. Very glad to hear that all who have
checked in are doing well. We had our share of fires up here, but not too
close
to our home. Earlier in the year and I had some breathing problems and it's
very scary. The winds are the worst as they take control of the fire and man
can only do so much to fight them.

I will keep all of our So. Cal members and all the firefighters close in my
thoughts.
