[TMIC] Anniversary

2010-07-02 Thread ladynotes

Today, July 2, marks the five-year mark of being stricken with Transverse
Myelitis. I am celebrating it by being bedridden, nursing two pressure sores.
Have you ever tried lying on one side, for days at a time? It causes me to have
claustrophobic anxiety attack , but it is quite necessary to avoid flap surgery
:-(

Have a Blessed Day, Naomi

Naomi,

I really hate what you are going through.Life can get pretty rough.
Have they given you any creams, etc., to rub on the sores? My aunt had
pressure
sores and they gave her a cream to use and it did help some. How are you
at lying on your stomach?
Janice

Dear Ladynotes;

How difficult things are for you compared to so many others. I am much
better off and count my blessings every day. I have MS, then TM; and now
chronic Lyme is doing something to my brain. Probably can be easily fixed.
But you are in a permanent situation of being bedridden.

When I was paralyzed from the waist down for only a few months after an
accident. But it gave me time to do some serious thinking since I was only
22 years old.

If I hadn't had a belief that I was given a body and a life here in order to
grow a soul for the next life, I would have been emotionally finished, since
nothing makes sense if this is the only life.

I do not know how I would handle your situation. Maybe I would not be able
to follow my own best thinking, and would lose it. But I hope not.

I will pray for you to have less pain and discomfort tonight and tomorrow
morning at dawn.

has a very good handle on this life that all of you are dealing with and of
course I especially believe its true about my darling Jim because he surely
put a lot into his life and was a great example for many.So Dalton keep on
doing what you are doing and Naomi you are in my prayers as are all the
other valiant fighters of this disease. Carol Belz.
