Re: [TMIC] T-2 Lesions
Hi Regina, I may have missed some posts, but I need to ask how you're doing? Where is/are your original lesion? And have you had a new episode with new lesions? I have lesions at C4, 5 6 and have had several bad flare ups but I also have Sjogrens so they both can act up. I'm on Imuran and Rituxan infusions to hopefully prevent further damage. Do you have another autoimmune disease also, as this can cause havoc with TM too. Just wondering what conclusion your neurologist came to. I can understand being scared, and I hope you at least have some answers from your doctor. It seems we can deal with what we know, it's the not knowing that scares us. I hope you're feeling better. RE: [TMIC] T-2 Lesions
You're right Gracie, they (my neuros) called it TM for 5 years, then I had a lesion in my optic nerve, causing me to see double. Then it became MS Bernie From: Grace M. That being said, there are a myriad of diseases/disorders that cause brain lesions, including NMO in up to sixty per cent of all patients. (Though not in a pattern consistent with MS) The MS diagnosis is one of *rule in, rule out*. been there done that---prayed for MS, unfortunately it wasn't to be the case. XO Gracie

*Hi Regina, * ** *Not always. There are any number of conditions that can, and do cause brain lesions. The criteria for MS has to be taken in it's entirety, before a definitive diagnosis is made. * ** *Gracie (NMO since 2005) *

I have two lesions and have TM with no signs at all of MS.
