Re: [TMIC] don't unsubscribe me
Gerry and all.. I've attached a screen shot of the website with a little note on where to enter your chat message. Once you enter your chat message you just hit your Enter key and it will post your message. The one thing to remember though...is to look and see who all is signed on. If you are the only one signed on then you won't be able to chat with anyone until someone else signs in. If there is some chat text already showing in the box then it is from people that were chatting previously. The text doesn't go away until it is cleared http://s80.photobucket.com/albums/j164/hwyflier2/?action=viewcurrent=chat.jpg I hope this helps and clears things up. If there any other questions please let me know. Look forward to seeing you all there.. It's funny that you folks are talking about the recent misunderstandings and people are unsubscribing. I saw the same exact thing happen on the Yahoo group. These are the reasons that I don't participate in e-mail discussions and have gravitated to a site where there is a live chat and we can also post pictures of ourselves and families and whatever else. I like that because it makes things feel like we are all a part of a big family. The live chat is also wonderful because you get to actually talk to the other person in real time. I met a guy online that wanted to start his own TM support site and he felt as I do about the e-mail lists...He wanted something real time so he and I created the TM Network. It really is a great group and we all are just one big family. I think the site could really benefit from some of the knowledge and chat that goes on here. Check it out and who knows...you might be online at the same time as one of your other TM friends and get to chat with them. http://transversemyelitis.ning.com/ Take care, Kevin From: Trudy Ogilvie mother...@gmail.com To: gbthomas8...@sbcglobal.net Cc: heyjude48...@aol.com; rj_ran...@yahoo.com; TMIC-LIST@eskimo.com Sent: Saturday, January 10, 2009 7:29:52 PM Subject: Re: [TMIC] UNSUBSCRIBE I could not agree more!! If I am making a problem for someone I would like to offer an apology and will remove myself from the List, even though it is a life saving group for me. Without the support from the friends I have made from this List, I don't think that I would have recovered from the pneumonia and staff infection last year. Is it possibly that the ones doing the bantering can be removed off the list or blocked instead? The type of discussions in the past weeks have bothered me just a touch. I joined the group because I lost the use of my leg, followed by my bladder and recently had an attack on my brain stem that resulted in trigeminal neuralgia. I joined the group for help and because I was out there in the world without answers and in fear and desperation. I can handle a lot of the stuff that is said but I have noticed that when I
