AJP12 to AJP13

2002-03-07 Thread Lance Dyas

I have a web app that is configured on ajp12, Is there anything I
need to change in the app itself to get it to run on ajp13...
or is it just a question of changing tomcat configurations

I was specifically wondering I could get it to work with SSL hence the
interest in ajp13

A few details
I am using Win2K pro, Apache 1.323 ,Mod_gzip1.319, Mod jk 1.10, with
Tomcat 4.0 with Jdk1.22

SSL... and a servlet on Tomcat, what version is required and how does
one set it up?

 Hiya all,

We're trying to migrate from running JSP's and servlets under JWS2.0
 to Apache+Tomcat.

It seems like the simplest and most basic configuration, yet I could
find nowhere a way to make this work!!

The same way JWS works, (and Apache-Jserv+GnuJsp) also:

 1) Apache serves all static content.

 2) Tomcat serves servlets/JSP's (through apj12)

 3) They both share the same directory structure. (C:\apache\htdocs)
and *.jsp files can be anywhere in that directory tree - not *ONLY* in
 the /examples dir or /jsp dir (!@!@#???)

Did someone actually made this work?

 how, exactly ?

 H E L P !!

Hmmm I have apache serving static content
tomcat serving jsps and servlets through apj12
but not number3 as I have distinct directory structures.

Re: Tomcat + win 98

Myself as well, it works in win98, I too had problems with
startup.bat... the other
difficulty involved having the right java version on the machine,

you have to put http:// infront of addresses with port numbers, is that it?
 try http://127.0.0.1:8080/ I hope it is !

I take it from various other posts here that tomcat does indeed work with
Windows '98. Are there any special things outside the normal stuff
mentioned in the docs to get it working?
I've gotten Tomcat working fine on NT, but at home on my '98 box, it seems
to not be working. Everything seems to get set up properly according to the
logs, but when I hit: 127.0.0.1:8080, I get a "page not found" error, but
the title displayed in the browser (ie 5.x) says "Invalid Syntax Error".
This ring a bell with anyone?
 Thanks
