I had the same thoughts when I read your e-mail. I was like "ooh,
yay, someone's doing this!" and then I read more and was like "wow,
are we really talking about all of this stuff? so confusing and
pointless. =["

You don't need to come up with complicated names, especially not yet.
:-) Just work on writing it and fixing issues, and then we can think
of coming up with a name that's straightforward and useful.

You're right, this file should not be created any more, and doing so
will cause mail to be lost (actually, bounced, I hope). I've fixed
mkuser to no longer create it and removed the bad file from recently
created accounts.

Thanks for reporting this -- no need to file an issue in JIRA.

It's almost as though you're encouraging bikeshedding.[1] I imagine most
developers don't give a damn what you call it as long as it works well. I'm
certainly in that category.

There are a lot of obstacles to overcome in order to develop a decent,
working translation tool. The focus of any discussion should be on those
actual, real obstacles, not on naming. :-)

Regarding this [old] subject, and saying hello to everyone in my first
mail here, it seems that $HOME/.forward (containing $h...@toolserver.org)
should be no longer created for new accounts. After testing in my
few-days-old account, external mail sent to j...@toolserver.org was going
apparently to nowhere, until I deleted .forward and then began to arrive
to my LDAP address, as expected...

If my impression is right, would it be necessary to file a JIRA bug for this?
