Good as far as it goes, but it only works from my QTH to somewhere.
In a contest or even a pileup, I might want to know other paths, like OC to EU,
etc. along with the great circle directions, and sunset/sunrise at both ends.

* With a couple of mouse clicks, you can set your QTH to any location you like,
and then explore paths and grayline openings from that location. When your
exploration is complete, you can then restore your QTH with a single mouse
click.

* In the QTH panel on DXView's Configuration window's General tab, note the
Position, Recall, and Save buttons:

  - clicking the Save button saves your current QTH; this need only be done
once, typically after you first specify your QTH's latitude and longitude

  - clicking the Position button sets your QTH to the currently-selected
location, enabling explorations of paths from that location

  - clicking the Recall button restores your current QTH.

The special site or software are not needed.
The contest loggers,, TR4W in our case, show the SR/SS times after the prefix
is typed into the callsogn window. For sure most of the general QSO loggers
have this option.

It's a Windows program. Why don't you try it, Terry? Trust me, you'll be
very glad that you did. It's indispensable for DXing on 160.

FWIW, I'm running DX Atlas in WINE on my Linux desktop (Mint 18.3 MATE
64-bit). I HATE M$ Windows, we switched to Linux back when M$ Windows 7
forced updates on us in the middle of important business work. Life is so
much better now. :-)

If you want to know why I Prefer Linux, browse this while you still can.
It's going away on April 2. :-(

If you use DXWATCH.com <http://dxwatch.com/> for spots, hover your cursor over
the DX call and you'll get approximate SS and SR times in Z.

One of the problems with using https://dx.qsl.net/propagation/greyline is
trying to calculate what time GMT will be the sunrise or
sunset time in places like the A5A, FR7, XX9, etc. Does anyone know if there is
an online site where you can plug in a countries
capitol and find the sunrise/sunset time in GMT? Sure could help predicting
when to try working them weather its on 160,80,40 or
perhaps other bands. I think Ham Radio Deluxe will do that but my N3FJP won't.

+ With the DXView component of the free-ware DXLab Suite, you can select a
location by specifying a callsign, DXCC entity, IOTA tag,
grid square, latitude/longitude, or by clicking on a location on its world map.
With one more mouse click, you can then display a
table of the next 30 days of sunrise and sunset times for the selected location
and for your QTH.

+ One more mouse click will display a table of gray-line openings between the
selected location and your QTH.

+ DXView is available via
