Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Some details about touch alarm possibilities
Basically all the devices are roughly the same: Can have multiple alarms that can be set for various times. Each alarm can be set to repeat or be a once-off alarm. Repeating alarms can be scheduled to repeat on specified days of the week. Alarms can be set to play internet radio streams, local music files, playlists, special sound effects (such as an alarm sound...), etc etc... Alarms can fade in (instead of starting at full blast). Does so over a short interval. Alarms can be snoozed (can specify interval). Alarm continues for 90min (can make it shorter). Also alarms can be set on your local server or on mysb.com, so alarms should go off even if your server is down. On the SB3 (not Touch or Radio) alarm won't go off if both server and internet connection are down. With the Radio or Boom it can still go off. Probably the Touch (as it is similar to the radio) too but not sure. -- lrossouw 'Last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/lrossouw) lrossouw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3416 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=71156 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

[SlimDevices: Touch] Has the Touch release date been delayed?
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70620page=2#19 Can we get some official information on this? One member has been told that the Touch won't be released until next spring. I've pre-ordered and as far as I know it was a December release as stated in the press release (which has now been removed). Andy, If you need a beta tester, I am willing!! I did this for the OPPO BD83 in their EAP program. I do beta test on PC and software where I work all the time! For the consumer devices that we're talking about, if it's attached to the network, then yes, it's an NAS. (There are other types of disk storage device that attach to networks, but they're not targeted or priced for consumers.) Disk drives can't be attached to networks. The container that houses the drive also contains a computer with an operating system and it shares the drive over the network. You wouldn't use Squeezebox Server to do anything to a drive. If you're talking about a USB connected drive then you would first make sure it's formatted FAT32 if it doesn't already come formatted with this file system. Your version of Windows may not be able to do this, but if not, you can use google to find free disk drive utilities that can do it. Then you just copy your files onto the drive. -- JJZolx Jim JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=71012 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Why to announce the SB Touch without knowing a release date??? I'll remove my pre-order. Sorry. This is a case that those that know just told you. It was announced for this year, which includes Dec 31. It could be earlier. Why announce it? Because some distributors released the product to customers by mistake. At that point, there was no point in pretending that it didn't exist, but Logitech and SlimDevices have a policy of not discussing products in advance. This was a special case because a distributor screwed up. I'm still betting on before Christmas, but the software is not finished yet (its close) and no one can predict when software will be finished. There is, as with all software, a chance it will slip into next year, but I don't expect that. I think you can forget about early December, I'm personally guessing that we will end up in beginning of next year or maybe the end of December. Note, this is just a guess, I have no insight in how much resources Logitech is going to focus on getting it ready before Christmas. They would probably be able to release it sooner if they release it without all promised/planned functionality, but that tends to make some people disappointed. It's all a matter of priorities, reaching the release date vs implementing all promised functionality. Here is the list of open bugs and enhancements planned. Watch this list getting shorter, when it starts to get short we are getting close to a release date: https://bugs.slimdevices.com/buglist.cgi?priority=P1priority=P2query_format=advancedorder=Importancebug_status=UNCONFIRMEDbug_status=NEWbug_status=ASSIGNEDbug_status=REOPENEDtarget_milestone=7.5.0 The list is actually longer, but I excluded anything which isn't P1 or P2 priority which probably will be postponed to next release anyway. My guess is that some P2 priority bugs are probably also going to be postponed to next release. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) (Install my plugins through Extension Downloader) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library, Title Switcher and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=71178 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
