Thanks for all of the assistance. Other than that, you also have the options of using an SB Controller (though most people seem to prefer iPeng), or learn to hold your finger on the screen when you touch the Touch. Thank you Pippin. It's reassuring to find I haven't overlooked something simple. As an aside, I found a workaround by copying the podcasts from the extra menu via the web interface and pasting them into my favourites, which then show up on the Touch menu. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Alarm wake up improvement
My piont was try to *NOT* use any SQL playlist . Use an normal playlist of 10 songs if that works then try sbs normal random random song but limit the pl to 10 songs. Ar a very simple test just use one particular as a test (make a playlist witn one sog). It can be so that erlands sql playlist plugin is temporarirly overloading the server, and if the radio's alarm code is reused in the Touch that could be a problem. We know that this code is very sensitive for loss of contact with the server, the slightest interuption is interpreted as a problem. The safe guard is to play the built in sound just to be sure that any alarm sounds at the time . You could log in to the server with ssh and use the top command to monitor the cpu while alarm goes of. It's not there. You need to use Podcast Player. You can add your manually configured podcasts to it through the mysqueezebox.com web site, the Logitech provided choices are the same as for the older Podcasts plugin. -- pippin --- see iPeng, the Squeezebox iPhone remote, at penguinlovesmusic.com pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82982 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
[SlimDevices: Touch] No podcasts on Touch menu
Can someone please help me find my podcasts on my new Touch? To be clear I do not mean the 'podcast player' available through the app store, but the podcast plugin that has a tab in my server settings, and which I use happily on my other players. Selecting the Touch on the web interface shows 'podcasts' listed under 'extras', and they play fine, but the option is not there when using the Touch's menu (indeed alarm clock, info browser and music source are also listed on the web interface, but not on the Touch screen navigation). Frustratingly, the server doesn't allow my to change my menu options for the Touch as it does for my SB3 and Boom. Finally, I can't see podcasts listed anywhere in the Touch > Settings > Home Menu. I can't work it out. Can anyone help please? Thanks for your advices. -I use a little music library : +/- 2000 songs -My SQL playlist is limited to 50 songs. This is my last informations : The AlarmClock never start again with SQL playlist. When I STOP the alarm, I can go in playlist and start it without problem : so, not a problem of connection with my NAS. I set the sleep time to 15 minutes and reprogram the alarmclock with a new time ( actual + 1 hours ) I try it a lot of times, and SQLplalist always start ! So, not a problem with the playlist.
