[SlimDevices: Touch] Buffering after 5 seconds
Hi - I have this problem with two players - my own and a friends. I have the Touch connected to a Windows Home Server - my fried a ReadyNas Duo server. When I choose to play a lossless album (FLAC/ CUE, APE/CUE), it starts playing for 5 seconds, then stops. Buffers. And then starts playing again. The Touch replaced a Popcornhour C-200 machine, that never had any problems playing the same albums. No stuttering - no buffering - no stops. Need to fix this - or the Touch will go back. Anyone? [SlimDevices: Touch] SB Touch says Nothing when playing some musics
Hi! I recently started to have a problem with my SB Touch and I don't know what's wrong. When I play some musics, the SB just shows the word Nothing in the Now Playing screen. It is also strange because this does not happen only with one song or another, this happen with all musics present in the same folder. I think the problem should not be the conversion of the music, because I always use the same software to rip cd's, and with the exception of these cases, the songs are played without problems. I have the SB connected to an external HDD, with about 3700 songs stored. Does anyone know why this happens, and will be some solution to this problem? [SlimDevices: Touch] Wrong album covers showing up on Touch, but ok on squeezebox server
Hello everyone, I'm having a bit of a struggle with the cover art of some of my albums on the Touch. 80-90% cover art is ok, but some albums just appear with the album art of another album, when looking at albums on the Touch. I've triple checked the tags (i embed the covers in the tags for each song) and they're ok. I've also taken a look at the album list from the squeezebox server web interface, and my albums are properly displayed there. Last but not least, when playing the album, the proper image is displayed on the now playing screen. But coming back to the list of albums, I'm still getting the wrong image :( I must say that I'm a little puzzled. I was wondering if some of you had already seen that issue, and maybe had a fix ? I guess I'll give a shout-out to MP3tag here. Although it has MP3 in the title of the software, it will tag just about anything, and that includes Flac. Of course, I suppose you need to locate your missing files first. But once you do, I have used this to find many tagging errors, and they are quickly and easily fixed. Something as simple as an incorrect track number can scramble your compilations. Might try updating the Touch's firmware manually (not from MySB). Download the SqueezeBox Server program from MySB.com, run the install, connect Touch to that server version, update firmware. Nice. 1024 x 600 resolution, so they're probably using a screen similar to those used in their netbooks. What someone needs to do now is develop an app that runs on the Touch to feed the frame through the Touch's USB port. Well, this is pretty strange. I simply left it alone for a while. I made no changes at all. It apparently finally made a connection on it's own. The Touch's screen had a message that there was a software update available. I initiated the update for the Touch. Then I updated Squeezebox Server to 7.5.3. It seems to be working fine now. Now I just need to figure out how to control the Touch from my browser (which is my preferred mode of operation). It must be pretty straightforward, so I'll do my research. Thanks for your help. [SlimDevices: Touch] No output after switching from mysqueezebox
I have a problem with my newly installed Squeezebox Touch. If I switch from mysqueezebox.com to my local squeezebox server and select something from my music, everything looks ok from the now playing screen but there is no audio output(I'm using analogue connections). If I turn off and turn on the Touch again (not a power cycle just the soft off and on from the screen), go to the now playing screen and touch play I get audio output as normal. If I press pause and then play without the turning of and on it doesn't fix the problem. Hi Toby10 and Garym, I've been busy most of the day and just picked up on your latest posts at midnight here. More tomorrow but meanwhile, after a simultaneous/sequential PC shutdown and restart, modem router shutdown and restart and reloading SBX Server on the PC (almost) everything is now working OK EXCEPT I now can't tune in to any internet radio stations (which I could do earlier). I appears that everything is going well, I get the bar at the top of the screen saying Connecting... but it just hangs and never connects, no matter which station I try to tune in to. so did your music all scan OK? Were you able to exclude the extentions I mentioned or did you temporarily turn off the virus scanner. Hi My wish is to have multi cd sets displayed as follows: Artist (Chuck Mangione) Album (Live at the Village Gate) The above is a 2 disc set. I am using dbpoweramp to rip to FLAC. Spoon, the developer instructed me to use the Disc 1/2 2/2 feature for multi CD sets and use the 'Apply Number Offset' to a higher number for disc 2 so that all the songs from the 2 CDs will appear in the one Album folder. CD1 has 9 songs so for CD 2m I set 2/2 and offset track number to start with 9 so 2nd CD will use 10 onwards. After ripping I get what I want. All 19 songs in one Album folder and the songs are sequential 1-18. Fnastastic. I did a Look for new or changed music rescan and unfortunately SB Server creates 2 folder CD 1 0f 2 and CD 2 of 2. Damn!! Is there anyway I could get SBS to tag them as they are in the album folder? All songs in the one album folder as they are numbered, songs 1-19 instead of still giving me 2 separate CDs? I confirm the same problem using digital connection. Song indicates it is playing but no audio output. Seems only an off/on cures the problem. My experience with treat multi-disc albums as single album has been to use separate directories (though probably not required) for each disc. Each disc is tagged with the IDENTICAL ALBUM title. [SlimDevices: Touch] Track name confusion
Hi All, All works well, but... In My Music, the track list for an album comes up fine, but when you Play a track- the first track or any track- a different song plays. The song that plays is identified correctly. I see no pattern in how the tracks are scrambled. The same problem occurs in all albums in the library. (Itunes server has no such difficulty.) Library resides on a Synology NAS running Squeezebox server. Any suggestions appreciated.
