[SlimDevices: Touch] cannot work with my touch from http://mysqueezebox.com/player/viewPlayers
Hi, I prefer to control my Touch from my PC. Mostly using squeezebox.com for internet radio. to switch to my music library, used to go to http://mysqueezebox.com/player/viewPlayers and disconnect. always worked fine with my classic, does NOT with my Touch. quite annoying, have to get up up, go to the damn thing etc. I am using IE 9, in compatibility mode (but did not work with ie8 neither) quite surprising for a newer device, it is a pity I gave my classic to a friend. -- geert.dep...@geman.be geert.dep...@geman.be's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40238 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87229 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] cannot work with my touch from http://mysqueezebox.com/player/viewPlayers
You don't need to go to MySqueezebox.com for anything if you are using a PC - control everything from the PC via the Web/SBS UI. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] couldn't resolve ip address for mysqueezebox.com
This problem has nothing to do with your router etc. The real reason is that SBS tries to determine your DNS server at startup, and if it fails to do so (e.g. due to networking not being up yet), if you are using a non-Windows server all future DNS requests will fail, too. This is rather puzzling design choice and should be fixed. -- laubzega laubzega's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45988 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86158 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
[SlimDevices: Touch] SB Touch doesn't switch over to SB server
I have a SB Boom that's been connected to my SB server just fine. All on the latest versions. I bought a SB Touch and it connects to mysqueezebox.com, when i go into the web interfsce for SB server , it shows the SB touch in the pull down list. When I click on it it asks if I want it to connect to my SB server. I click yes and it does not switch over. Restarted the server (7.5.4), restarted the SB touch... Same thing, it refuses to switch over. Is there any other way to do this ? -- az_r2d1 az_r2d1's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45395 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87232 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] SB Touch doesn't switch over to SB server
That's a bug. You can't switch the Touch or Radio from mysqueezebox.com to the local server using the web interface. http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=15396 You'll have to switch through the Touch's own interface by navigating into My Music. -- JJZolx JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87232 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Newbie with Questions for the Experts
I m not a big playlist guy. I like to listen to a whole CD so I have not created many playlists. Last week I created 2 playlists and saved them using iPeng. This week I went to play one and they were both gone. I have a SBT and VBA. -- tmauceri tmauceri's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41450 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83244 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
[SlimDevices: Touch] Firmware troubles on switch to older server version
Hi, I would like some advice here: I have a Touch running on 7.6.0 firmware, connected to a squeezebox server 7.6.0 running on a DNS-323 NAS. A few days ago i bought a Synology DS211+ and i am now trying to migrate my Touch. Synology delivers a nice grab-and-go Squeezebox server package, currently version 7.5.3. So far so good. When i point my Touch to the new library, a 7.5.4 firmware update for is pushed. Seemed ok, so i made it downgrade from 7.6.0 firmware to 7.5.4. (I suppose this version was pushed by MySqeezeNetwork) However, after reboot of the Touch, i can't connect to my Synology running 7.5.3 server. A message is shown like 'Your squeezebox server needs an update. Can't connect' and that's it. It won't continue. And an upgrade of the server side won't happen until Synology has an updated package. Any idea's about how to solve this? Is there any way to downgrade the Touch firmware? (Hope i don't have to wait for Synology) Thanx -- rintje rintje's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41954 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87237 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
[SlimDevices: Touch] Network probs on Touch (UK based)
After upgrading my BB connection to 30mb with Virgin media, I have been having Rebuffering problems playing Flac files, both 16/44 and 24/96. I run the Touch wired to a fast Server (quad core 12mb ram) so server performance not the issue. I use the combined VM Superhub cable modem/router, which is where the problem could lie. Any other Virgin Media squeezebox owners out there who had similar problems? Some Info: Im Running latest 7.6 nightly SBS and Touch firmware. (Problem still there reverting back to 7.4 so it's not that) On going into advanced settings/Network Health my Touch fails the test, Not OK General performance is a bit laggy, the Touch seeming slow reading from the server and back. I've rebooted everything hoping to clear any network problems - no dice. Squeezebox Troubleshooter utility reports no problems and the Control Panel diagnostics show everything ok, yet on the Touch Network Health shows a problem??? Any ideas? Thanks! :) -- Gazjam Gazjam's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18604 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87240 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
[SlimDevices: Touch] Installed Shoutcast on my Touch: nothing found?
As above; when I launch the app and hit any of the options I get EMPTY displayed... May be linked to my Network Health problem (ping issue possibly?), or it may be something else.. Any ideas? Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Installed Shoutcast on my Touch: nothing found?
It's a known issue with ShoutCast, that message (and others) come and go. Also, if you set a Bitrate Limit in ShoutCast it could be your search or genre selection has no streams at higher bitrates. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Firmware troubles on switch to older server version
Strange, I thought it would just connect and automatically load the older firmware. I've never used it, but you can supposedly place a copy of the firmware on a USB stick or SD card (in the root directory) and the Touch will update to it. You can download the current 7.5.4 firmware 'from here' (http://update.slimdevices.com/update/firmware/7.5.4). Download the two files 'fab4.version' and 'fab4_7.5.4_r9408.bin'. There is a mechanism on the Touch for reverting to the previously loaded firmware. Apparently the flash memory holds copies of both the current and older firmware in case something 'really bad' happens. However, this is likely to fix your problem only if the previous version of the firmware was from 7.5.x. If it was also from 7.6 then you're going to be in the same spot. To revert the firmware: On the remote press and hold the volume up button while pressing and holding the reset button on the back of the Touch. After 15 seconds or so you should see a message on the Touch. You could probably also go into the web interface's Settings Advanced Software Updates and disable updates and downloads. This might suppress the message on the Touch and allow it to connect to the server. But you may not want to keep that setting if you want to be notified of future updates. -- JJZolx JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87237 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
