[SlimDevices: Touch] Duplicate albums on SBT and iPad
A few days ago my entire music library appeared in duplicate on my iPad using iPeng and my SBT. I checked Squeezebox Server and in the information tab it is showing twice the number of albums as it should. Each duplicate cover plays music and has all the tracks. I've run multiple clear and rescans on iPeng, I've rebooted everything and I just completed a scan on Squeezebox Server with no results. Squeezebox Server is run on my NAS, not my desktop. The music folder in my NAS shows no duplicates---everything looks normal. I'm out of ideas. Anyone have any idea what's going on and how I can get rid of the duplicates? kswanson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45445 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97182 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Duplicate albums on SBT and iPad
I'd try two things: 1. Make sure any Playlists are not in the same folder as your Music Library 2. Delete the contents of the LMS cache folder Then reboot LMS and do a wipe rescan. toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97182 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Duplicate albums on SBT and iPad
In the basic settings ,what do you have set as playlist folder ,don't use the same as the main music folder . Create a separate playlist folder and set LMS to that folder , do a clear and rescan everything . I did reboot the LMS and ran a look for new and changed music rescan which didn't change anything. The other rescan option is clear library and rescan everything Should I try that? Also how do I delete everything in the cache? kswanson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45445 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97182 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

But make sure playlist folder is not under music folder. Not this: C:/music C:/music/playlists Instead this C:/music C:/playlists Yes use clear and rescam garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97182 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

From The LMS Control Panel, then Advanced down at the bottom you should see a checkbox for cleaning cache. Check it then select Run Cleanup. dasmueller's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38035 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97182 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

New and changed is not that good ,make a clear and rescan everything now and then . new and changed is good when adding stuff it definetly have problems with changed in some cases OP has a NAS there is no clean cache utility via windows , the way on a Linux platform is to go to the cache directory and manually delete the content . Stop LMS . Delete content of cache folder Restart LMS , who finds no dB and automatically starts a rescan . You may have to use SSH , location of cache folder is on the servers info page in the settings (it is not the same on every OS ) Also when in the LMS web UI you can look at the track details and see the file path for every file is there something odd there ? Did you recently upgraded LMS ? Garys suggestion works because many ripping programs or other applications places playlist files in every album directory *.m3u and *.cue etc did you use any app from your pc to do something with the files ? But depending on server version garym But make sure playlist folder is not under music folder. Not this: C:/music C:/music/playlists This is actually not a problem on my install ,but some 7.6.x betas had real problem with this or was it some 7.7.x beta ? I ran the clear and rescan eveything and I got another four or five times the albums I had before. This time though, only the first cover showing has all the tracks. The rest of the covers have only a couple of tracks showing which also work. The LMS is showing approximately 3 x the albums I actually have. kswanson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45445 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97182 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Duplicate albums on SBT and iPad
Do you have an absurd amount of playlists if you check the playlist menu ? Do you have an m3u file in every album directory ? Look at the track details of the duplicates innthe web-UI Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97182 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
