[SlimDevices: Touch] Touch won't Wake
Occasionally after a period of inactivity my Touch seems to go into a suspended state, blank display, not connected to any LMS server that can wake it, no response to anything I try on the remote or the touch screen. I have to physically disconnect it from the power then plug the power in again in order to reset it. Is this a hardware fault? It's relatively new so still under warranty. The only device capable of storing it's own Favorites is the Touch. To clarify further favorites and presets are stored on each server for each player and are then different . I don't even have any 192/24 music files that I would normally listen to, and don't know if I'd pay extra for that over 96/24 even. But it's nice to have it working anyway, since the way the LMS and FW is now is probably as far as it's going to go, so might as well install it... It took a while to get working though, my own fault. About a year ago I had been playing with some of the kajillion settings my main router has. Probably with TT3.0 back then, something with QoS. I had left the settings as they were because it wasn't doing any harm, but at 9Mbps with 192/24 on the Touch's LAN branch, whatever I had done back then was causing issues, I don't know how, probably with the internal router processing for it. I'm trying to do too much with the router's little processor I guess. It probably takes some custom scripting and it may actually be easier to just chuck in everything at the maximum rate independent of source rate, I wonder how crossfade would work if the sample rate was changing ? [SlimDevices: Touch] Scanning music list not picking up new music
I have had my squeezebox touch about four months and so far all has been going well. When I have new music I rescan and it has picked it up fine. I have just downloaded some new music on ITunes, and no matter what I do it is not picking it up. I have tried cleaning out the database and rescanning and that has not worked. The only thing that has changed is that I have upgraded ITunes but surely that would not make a difference? I keep LMS well separated from any iTunes installs I have, so I can't comment directly. But I think some users who have LMS-iTunes integration have reported issues with the latest version of iTunes though if I remember correctly this related to playlists. Still, it may be worth searching the forums for that.
