Ronnie, Well I finally got the EDO to load without the "kernal failed" message and it worked! I didn't do anything different but I'd guess I downloaded and reset to factory settings at least a dozen times til it loaded successfully. Anyway, the Mydac is connected and working great. Update 2 Swapped the BT router for an older router and all is well again - linn radio station now playing perfectly. Most strange but must be some sensitivity in settings. Bt router (known as home hub) does not appear to have the range of settings that a more conventional router has. The optical doesn't carry 24/192. The USB does, but not necessarily to all USB devices. The coaxial connection just works.
