Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] SBT is not picking up CDs I just ripped onto my hard drive
what is the fileformat did you tag the files properly . Did you place the files within the path specified in the basic settings (you have a setting for music folder ) Even if the tagging is not correct you should find them by browse via "music folder" in LMS Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub. [SlimDevices: Touch] SBT is not picking up CDs I just ripped onto my hard drive
I just ripped 5 CDs onto my 1TB Western Digital hard drive. I then opened SBS on the laptop I use strictly for that purpose. SBS added the CDs successfully to the folder on the HD that I use for the music that I rip. I then turned on the SBT to play one of the just-ripped discs. It wasn't listed in the new-music list, although a lot of OTHER music was listed, some from being added quite awhile ago. So I re-scanned for music in SBS. I did a software update on the SBT. I also re-booted both the laptop and the SBT (by pulling the plug on the SBT). I went into SBS settings and looked at the library. The CDs I ripped are in it and in my folder on my hard drive. The SBT will NOT find them when I search, either by album or by artist. What's my next step? Thanks as always! Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] SB Touch screen malfunction
A bad power supply would more likely cause the unit to not get enough power, but it doesn't hurt to try another one. Just make sure you match the specs exactly. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Spotify or Google music?
Thanks Seb, i'll have a look but i suspect that will be a bit convoluted for me. I'm looking for a simple solution and if i can't find one then i will probably go back to Spotify, which just works with the Touch. stefcon1's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45190 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103395 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

A $25 USB DAC may do all one needs. Yeah garym, think we were at cross purposes. If i were to take my TOUCH out of my set up, then i would indeed get a DAC and bypass the one in the PC but it would be a simple and fairly cheap piece of kit. The one in the Touch is more than adequate otherwise. stefcon1's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45190 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103285 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Spotify or Google music?
There is another option. Forum user hechtus wrote a plugin for direct Google Music integration into LMS, contains a lot of near-perfectly working access functions to a Google Music account. There is one limitation, it only works "out-of-the-box" on Linux based systems (I personally got it to run with minimum effort on an Odroid U3 ARM based mini-computer running Ubuntu), Windows seems to be quite problematic. Not sure if someone managed to install it there properly. About MacOS I didn't follow. Here is the related forums thread which made me aware of this plugin (not sure if also an "official" thread started by the plugin author exists): http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?99482-Stream-google-play-music/page2&highlight=googlemusic+plugin Here is the project's GitHub site with installation instructions: https://github.com/hechtus/squeezebox-googlemusic As I said, it is just a completely alternative option to the "Google Music over DLNA" approach (which I never got to work properly), just in case ;-) Cheers, Seb "The only word I know is 'Grunt' - and I can't spell it" (R.I.P.
