I have both a modded (new clocks) unmodded SBT. *IMO,* the modded SBT

@Audio Bling: You just assume that I don't have any direct experience. I
have a lot of experience, but I don't see the need to prove that in this
forum. People ask for advice, I give it and they can do with it whatever
they want.

2012-06-23 Thread Hofstede

In my opinion all those wonderfull tweaks of SBGK only work in his
imagination. Not many people on this forum take him serious. Some claims
he makes are just impossible. I have added him to my ignore list long
ago. But if you want to try out and test his suggestions please feel
free

My 2 cents: All that talk about changing the clocks in the Touch is
humbug. The Touch is fine as it is. Don't waste your money.

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] post now playing to facebook wall

2012-06-20 Thread Hofstede

You have to check some things:

- go to www.mysqueezebox.com and login. Add the Facebook app to your
apps. Fill in your facebook info and select which of your squeezeboxes
you want to use for Facebook.
- Make sure that the facebook plugin is loaded in your local LMS server.

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Paying iTunes to have DRM removed?

2012-06-02 Thread Hofstede

Look for iTunes Plus in the iTunes store in iTunes. This gives you the
option to upgrade previously purchased tracks to DRM-free versions with
better bitrate.

[SlimDevices: Touch] Track length wrong

2010-06-29 Thread Hofstede

Sometimes while the SB Touch is playing a track it displays a message
that it
was not able to fetch the information for the next song in the playlist
from
the server (Could not open file or words to that effect appear
shortly on the
screen).
Then when the current song is finished and it starts playing the next
song in
the list it shows this new song as having a track lenght of one hour
(59:59).
It will then be stuck on that track for an hour unless you stop and
restart
playing. Did not have the patience to wait and see what happens if the
one hour
mark is finally reached.
The fact that it is not able to fetch the info for the next track is
possible a
WiFi issue, using a wired connection it does not occur. But I think it
should
handle this kind of network error more gracefully.
This problem did not occur with the official release version of 7.5.0.
It
started appearing with the official release version of 7.5.1.
It is also only happening on both of my SB Touch players, not on Duet
and not
on SB Radio

Swipe your finger from left to right on the screen. Swiping from right
to left takes you to the now playing screen.

2010-04-12 Thread Hofstede

Oops, sorry about that. Uploaded the wrong picture. Maybe this one gives
you a better idea. Although it does not look like it on the picture you
can read the info on the screen quite well from that distance. I do not
have a SB3.

2010-04-09 Thread Hofstede

Mine arrived 4 hours ago and is now playing along.

First impressions are good. Beautiful screen.

It is now scanning an USB disk (Samsung S1) for files. Then I can try
out it's internal Squeezeserver

I have a Samsung S1 mini 250Gb disk attached that is even smaller than a

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Release date touch 10th of april

2010-04-06 Thread Hofstede

The Wifimedia shop is a Dutch shop/website. One of the warehouses of
Logitech in Europe is in the Netherlands. In the past when I ordered
from Logitechs European website the package was delivered to me the
next day. And in the Netherlands UPS is one of the few shipping
companies that does not deliver on a Saturday, the others do, even
without extra charge.
So if Logitech ships on Friday, the shop will have them in on Saterday.
Note that the shop is not saying the release date is on Saturday, they
only state that they will get there first batch of Touches in on
Saturday.

But it all comes down to one thing: Either you believe the shop or you
don't. We'll see.

Oh and about working more than 40 hours per week: Why work more if you
don't need to? :)
