[SlimDevices: Touch] UNable to login to LMS
I have come back from holiday to find my Touch (v 7.7.2-r9663) no longer logged into my LMS (v7.7.2 - r33893) whereas all my other players seem fine. When I try and view my Music collection I am asked for my user name which I can enter just fine. Then when I enter my password and press Done nothing happens - it doesn't even seem to attempt to connect and my password just sits there (as plain text) until the Touch finally reverts back to the Now Playing screen. It remains unconnected to the server. I have tried re-updating to the current firmware which didn't help. Any ideas? Perhaps it is only attempting to connect to MySqueezebox.com (or whatever it is called these days). All Squeezebox products I tried have this hiss when using sensitive headphones. Thanks for the replies - I have been doing a lot of testing and have finally come up with the cause of this. It is the power-line network link that the Touch uses. Specifically my girlfriend's hair straightening tongs caused the network to stop dead whilst they were being used. I still believe there is a problem with SBS or the Touch though since once this has happened after a certain amount of time the situation seems to cause SBS to crash - the service just seems to stop. This must be when all the other Squeezeboxes (not connected via the power-line adapter) also complain about having no connection. [SlimDevices: Touch] Music being cut off
Hi, before I had my Touch I had a Receiver, hard-wired over a power-line network and it always seemed to be fine connected to a local Squeezebox Server (7.5.0 - r30464 ). I have now replaced the SBR with a Touch (7.5.0-r8673) and when I'm playing a playlist (I usually use random song mix) the player will suddenly stop playing although the elapsed time will continue to increment forever. Clicking 'Next' will nudge it onto the next song and things will be OK until the next time it fails. I have attached a Touch log - the music stopped playing twice in this log. Can any one decipher this, I can't really spot what might be the problem. As I understand it if you are invoiced before VAT increases back to 17.5% then you pay the lower 15% rate. Since it is the last working day of October I decided it may be my last chance to use the RELAUNCH2009 code so I went ahead and ordered a Radio and a Touch. I decided to put two seperate orders in to save any prossible problems with shipping - I didn't want my Radio to egt stuck until my Touch was ready to ship. So I odered the Radio first and then went to add the Touch to my basket but all I got was a Notify Me button instead of Add to Cart! Luckily I had another computer that wasn't logged into the Logitech shop but still had a Touch in the cart - must have been stored in a cookie or something.
