Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Announce: Enhanced Digital Output app - USB Dac and 192k Digital Ouput
Update for the list of comatible DACs. EDO also works with the new Lyngdorf TDAI-2170 fully digital integrated Amp. Both coaxial and USB. The only odd thing is, that when I am playing regular 16/44.1 material, the Lyngdorf shows me 20 bits instead of 16. Is EDO doing some kind of conversion here? foxx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36364 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Constant software updates on Touch/Duet Controller
Can I also downgrade my Touch's firmware? I am running 7.5.0 on a QNAP NAS and actually don't want 7.6 on my Touch. Unfortunately it also connected to MySB.com without me knowing and thereby aquired 7.6. I know where to find the latest 7.5 fw on the nightly builds page. But how do I get it onto the Touch? I also had my Radio updated to 7.6. When it reconnected to my server it gave the message that there was a firmware update available. 'Funny, I just did that' I thought and let it do the update. It went to 7.5.1! I just don't want to run the danger of server and clients being incompatible at some time in the future. Updating the server is not an option (even if 7.6 should work properly at some point), because it is a PITA to do this on my NAS. -- foxx foxx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36364 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89529 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Standalone Touch
Well, you should at least wire it up on first installation in order to install the latest firmware. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Adjusting text size
I believe you are misinterpreting the cutting edge of the Touch. One of it's main advantages over other media players is that you can configure and control it without having to have a TV set running or to have a PC in the direct vicinity of your listening position. To control it from the sofa the IR remote is only a render of last resort. Normaly you use the controller or an iPhone, iPod or other PDA. This works bi-directionaly, giving you all the information you are expecting to see from your sitting position. Using it without any of the wifi remotes means you are operating it similar to a CD player. You are supposed to see the information when you are standing in front of it, not across the room. -- foxx foxx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36364 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78217 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Cover art problem since update to 7.5.0
I have also experienced what you are describing. So I can confirm it. But I'm not sure it is a bug. I would consider it deliberate behaviour. Since you are playing an album, but there are multiple covers to choose from, the device chooses the cover art of the first track and considers this to be the cover belonging to this album. There is a certain logic to it. -- foxx foxx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36364 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78283 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Perhaps you are experiencing the same phenonemon as I have. The local server seems to scan also the recycle bin on USB drives. The problem is that you do not see this bin under windows, so you don't know it is there. This may be an explanation why you are getting double albums. It's just some stuff that you once had on the drive but was deleted and forgotten about. -- foxx foxx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36364 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77793 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] HDD for touch
Just got my Touch yesterday and set it up using a 500GB CN Memory USB drive. It scanned and even PLAYED music which I didn't figure to be on the drive at all. It had been deleted long ago. Only after formatting the drive and recopying my current music to it, it was gone. The touch obiously doesen't care for virtual order. It scans what is physically available. It was kind of spooky listening to music and seeing cover art, which I wasn't even aware of owning. Also a question to the experts. I had read earlier that the Touch would make a USB drive available on the home network. So far I have not been able to figure out how this works. Any suggestions? -- foxx foxx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36364 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77639 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Well, it better does what they say it should be doing. Fulfilling the server function together wit a USB drive is the key issue on this device. If it was for me it could be double as pricy and three times as big if only it incorporated a proper server which you can operate without having to have a NAS, TV or PC running. -- foxx foxx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36364 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=76494 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
