You should have only music files and artwork on the drive. The drive
should be self powered, not powered from the usb port.

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Piss poor customer service

Sounds like you just want to piss and moan and don't really want help,
which is what this forum is for. You know how to get a refund, just
contact the seller you bought it from. 7.6 has some problems but there
are later, nightly releases that address the issues. If you would look
around this forum, there are numerous posts that describe how to access
the later releases.

The SB Touch should not be cabled directly to your computer. Have you
read the setup instructions?

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] I hate SB Touch

You've had a Touch for a year and you haven't figured not to update a
working system until it's proven in production for some period of time?
Turn off the option in SBS that automatically notifies you that an
upgrade is available. Then you won't get the upgrade message!

If you plugged the drive into your PC, the Touch can no longer see it.
You'll have to run the sevrer on your PC now.

A little more information please. Are you streaming local files or
internet content, and what is the file format? Are you using Tiny SBS
or the full featured SBS running on a server.

You haven't given any info about your setup. Are you running SBS on a
server or the Touch? Are you connected to mysb.com? That said, Rhapsody
has been very flakey the last few days.

Let's not use logic here, you might get taken to court.

This is a good point. There doesn't seem to be an issue in purchasing a
preamp without balance control functionality, which is where it has
always resided. And yet some feel slighted when this capability is not
implemented in a source component. Someone mentioned that Sonos
provided this feature, don't they also produce an amplified player
where this would be required?

No matter what design choices are made, someone will be unhappy. It's

bedroom which is pink. It is what it is, accept it or move on.
