[SlimDevices: Touch] Discrete IR codes work for Menu Browse and Menu Search options?
Anyone know if the Menu browse \ Menu search discretes are supposed to work with the Touch? I have used the RMDU file from http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63757 successfully to get discrete power on\off etc. but the Menu browse\search do not seem to work with the Touch - they do work fine with my SB3s and more importantly with my *Boom*. Droid and SqueezeCommander control my 5 SB3s, Touch, Duet and Boom - all controlled identically and easy to switch between (may be minor differences, but I can't tell. Can't compare to iPeng and iPhone, but exteremly simple to use for all tasks, especially things like search where you can use voice search for songs rather than typing (with Android 2.1). So I was just prompted to download this firmware to the Touch, which I did. I set up SSH and was doing a top on the files that previously stuttered... and now all is OK! /usr/bin/jive is at like 60%... May have stumbled on how to do reproduce this... Happens to me when I *start *a track with the Analog VU meters as the Now Playing display. i get stuttering. If I start the track with the normal Album art and text now playing, all plays well, and I can change to the VU display, and the track keeps on playing. Yep, reflac-ing to 0 cured the issue - can provide the original and re-flaced files for debugging purposes ~80MB each - was using coaxial out, digital vol 100%, Cat6 gigabit Ethernet everywhere. Hmmm, a shame, as people seem to feel this is not financially viable as a product offering from Logitech. I could see a product like this potentially sharing the same codebase as the current Controller (OK, Controller has a headphone out...), but I get the idea that the main PCB+screen would make up the majority of the cost.
