Yeah, I see this now, MySB is not handling Applets the way it should.

While Touch is on TinySC it only shows my installed Applets.

When I switched Touch to MySB it listed all Applets available.
I installed one, Touch rebooted, but now back on MySB Applet
Installer only shows my installed Applets.

It will also scan your local network for runinng SBS instances and try
to get applets from them, so if you have a standalone SBS running it
might actually install the applets from them even though you think it's
using MySB.

This is also why I several times has tried to say that installing a
standalone SBS on a computer temporary will solve this problem. I'm not
sure if MySB supports to install applets, I know there is code in Applet
Installer to handle it if it does but I haven't actually tried it.

Yeah, understood. But no local SBS running (other than TinySC) when I
just tried it as stated above. So I am certain it was MySB that
displayed all Applets and let me install one.

Is it not the goal to have all Applets available from MySB? I think
that's what we discussed in beta.
Kinda pointless to promote a standalone server concept of TinySC if one
needs the full SBS to install Applets, IM-very-HO. :)

p.s. Your Daylight Clock continues to dazzle amaze people who see it

I think it's more like a vision to have ALL available, the goal is
probably to make it possible to install every applet on the official
repositories when connected to MySB. Applets not on the official
repositories will probably require a standard SBS. Of course, all
developers can get on the official list, they just have to let Logitech
know they want their repository to be added.

I think the vision is that everything should be Apps and available on
the MySB web site among the current Logitech implemented apps.

Sounds like it works with only MySB as you describe it, I suspected you
had a SBS running on your network.

pleased for any feedback)

Agreed - this is the current target. All applets seen via a clean
server (no additional repositories added by the user) should also be
available via MySB.com. Note that the selection of whether to include
only recommended applets or all applets in the logitech hosted list
is now performed by the player menu - this is so you can get the same
list from MySB.com as a local server (but it means that the option
selection or all 3rd party on the local server is not used when
browsing the list from Touch or Radio)

Now that we have more applets for 7.5 from Erland and others, I was
thinking we should restart the voting process on the 3rd party forum so
we can promote a few more applets to recommended status. This needs
logitech buy-in, but the first step would be users recommending applets
they see as recommended... Any takers?

Yes, I understand. ;)
But TinySC has full access to MySB and it's Apps and services.
Applets (at least most of them) are stored and down loadable from MySB
so as to accommodate those not running a full SBS.
This way the Radio and Touch can utilize Applets without ever
connecting to TinySC or SBS.

It should pluck these Applets from MySB.

Try to:
- Unplug the USB drive and play some internet radio station to make it
connect to MySB and try to go to the Applet Installer menu after that.

- If the above doesn't work, temporarily setup a SBS on a computer and
try to go to the Applet Installer menu after you have connected to SBS
on the computer.

You only have to do this while installing applets, after the applet has
been installed you can switch back to using TinySC.

Let us know which of the above procedures that solved your problems so
someone can register a bug report for this.
