Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Is it possible to synchronize playback between two Touch boxes?
Well I would certainly endorse the Audioengine's - I am happily listening to my A5s no,w but I do have a sub connected - so the A2s may be a better choice for full frequency(and you will be getting a sound most audiophiles recognise as good value for money). Of course the boom or radio sound great in non audiophile locations. It's also fairly easy to get an inexpensive amp and tuck it away to power a whole range of good value bookshelves. I've always found when it comes to making my girlfriend happy with this type of product simplicity of interface (it should just work), good looks (ie be unobtrusive) and that sound quality comes last (thinking about it - isn't that how girls pick their men on the whole?). Anyway a touch with A5s would fit that description very well -- linvale Squeezcenter running on ACER R1600 Windows XP Fileserver ReadyNAS Duo Main Listening Transporter / Controller Kitchen : SB3 Bedroom : Boom Bath : SBRadio Study: Duo linvale's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22828 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83513 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
[SlimDevices: Touch] Is it possible to synchronize playback between two Touch boxes?
Hello everybody. First post. I searched for several possibilities using whole house, multiple, etc, but no luck. What I'm trying to figure out is whether either natively or perhaps there is an app for synchronized play between two (or more) Squeezebox Touch boxes. Basically this would be like a multi-room party mode. Is this possible? TIA! -- kjgarrison kjgarrison's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41747 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83513 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

I have 3 players. I can have all playing the same thing (synched perfectly) or I can have two synched and the 3rd in the bedroom playing something else. And I can control all 3 from the iPeng app on my iphone or from the controller, or from any of the individual players. -- garym garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83513 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Yes, this is part of the raison d'etre of the entire Squeezebox line. -- aubuti aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83513 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

If you have multiple touches you can control any or all of them from each unit ... Very cool. Synchronization works very well, but only if your local network is robust. Just remember to give each of your touches a distinct name and you'll soon find it's very intuitive.
