Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Low volume output from sync'd devices

2010-09-12 Thread lamp

Thanks I also have Squeezebox Radio and Squeezebox Touch. One problem I
found out after changing the Squeezebox Radio screen to be the
Squeezebox Touch (On Radio: Choose Player Touch) is that the Radio
physical volume button is now adjusting the Touch volume. Even though
my Touch is set as Volume Fixed at 100%!

I believe there is a problem in the volume logic in the software.
Basically when I listen to an audio playlist by Radio itself, the
volume is fine, let's say at level 50. However after I turn on the
Touch, or the Boom, the player are synched (But the volume settings are
NOT set to be sync), the Radio volume became a lot softer even at level
50.

Does anyone else have this issue?

[SlimDevices: Touch] Low volume output from sync'd devices

2010-08-09 Thread innovstar

I'm have a problem with my Touch (wired) when sync'd to a SB Radio
(wireless), the audio output out of the radio is poor and I unable to
control it via the UI on the the touch. While sync'd the radio's volume
seems to be disabled. Streaming works ok

Both devices are running 7.5.1 and I'm using TinySC. The problem is the
same using the Internet Radio and my USB Drive (500GB Lenovo USB Drive)

I've lost faith with Logitech tech support, who seem to be lacking in
knowledge of their product (was told that syncing was only possible
with a controller). Is there some setting that will enable this to work
correct or I'm missing something?

Many thanks in advance.

I have this same setup and what works for me is having the Radio
connect to the Touch as Player (not sync'd). In SYNC mode the Radio's
volume is controlled by the Touch (and visa versa). So you have to
choose Touch as Player on your Radio (ie Choose Player Touch) menu.

Hope this is what your looking for.
