Just bought some ipad screen protectors from eBay for around $us5. Quite
cheap and should do the trick covering the sbt screen. I guess this
could be the way to go since you could trim them to size.

159 views and only one response (not that I asked for any, mind you). I
hope that means that some folks are just going ahead and making
requests without saying so here. If you think this is a good product, I
encourage you to let ZAGG know using the link provided in my initial
post. Even if you don't intend to buy one for yourself, it would be
nice to have this option available, don't you think?

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Protecting Your Touch Screen

2010-05-05 Thread Zlipknot

Not sure I will recommend this. I have invisible shield with my iphone
and I had no problems putting it on (wasn't exactly easy either but I
did everything correct). It actually looked great after a few days but
now a few months down the road it has started to show its age already.
Tiny amounts of glue is leaking in the border region and it attracts
dust and makes for a very unattractive look. It does protect against
scratches though - but for the price I expect better.

2010-05-05 Thread plympton

I've had a BestSkinsEver on my iPhone for a year (2G) and 6+ months on
my 3GS, without issue (glue, yellowing, etc).

With a scissor and a straightedge, I just took an envelope-sized sheet
and put it on my touch - looks great. I'll take a photo soon. See
here:

Best $9 I spent this week. :-)

[SlimDevices: Touch] Protecting Your Touch Screen

2010-05-04 Thread iwannatouch

I've read comments about how easily the Touch screen can be scratched,
marred, etc., so I did some investigating about what products might to
available to provide some protection. I found a company called ZAGG
which makes an invisibleSHIELD for the Duet controller, and asked
them if they plan to make a comparable product for the Touch. This is
the response I got:

Hello Rob,

Thank you for contacting ZAGG, where we are Zealous About Great
Gadgets! My name is Betty and I appreciate the opportunity to assist
you. At the moment we do not have an invisibleSHIELD design for that
device, but we might be interested in creating one! You can submit a
request for a new invisibleSHIELD design at the following link:

http://www.zagg.com/hotgadgets/index.php

This request will be submitted to our Hot Gadget Team to research if
the Logitech Squeezebox Touch is a device we are looking for. You
should receive a response from our Hot Gadget Team about your request
within 24 hours.

I hope this helps! Please feel free to contact me if you have any
further questions or comments.

All the best,
Betty

If enough of us express an interest in such a product, we might just
make it happen. Check out the Duet Controller invisibleSHIELD here:
http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/logitech-squeezebox-duet-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php.
If you like what you see, I encourage you to follow Betty's suggestion
and put in a request.

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Protecting Your Touch Screen

2010-05-04 Thread starfury

That's quite true, actually.

I did the same thing with Zagg for a POS phone from Virgin Mobile.
Enough people responded that they actually did make a screen protector
for the phone I am speaking of.

How many people that need to respond is the question I guess.

They do make an excellent product. Trouble is, they are rather
difficult to apply if you are a member of the I can never apply screen
protectors without air bubbles crowd.
