Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Squeezebox Touch - Synology NAS / Help needed
Re 2. make a copy of the image to each subfolder and clear and rescan everything . LMS supports embedded image if that does not exists it looks for an image in the same folder as the music files not the folder above as in the case with disc 1 & 2 Re 1. The "music folder" does not use the tag information it just uses the folders and files in the sort order they are in , it is specifically designed to not use tags ,for testing purpose or untagged librarys . You can use a tagging tool to rename the files to include track nr in front then they sort right . But this mode is slower than the others it is best to use tags so would not bother. Best solution is to separate the files so that you can point LMS to only the lossles files + files you only have in lossy formats, there are several ways to figure that out . Another solution is to use a function in the advanced > file types menu called "Disabled Audio File Extensions" and disable the lossy formats from scanning , this only works if you actually have dual copies of everything and does not wan't any lossy files visible. 3. scanning takes time depending on size of collection and cpu and memory of the server NAS is usually slow if small energy efficient and quiet shows up somewhere . So make changes in batches and do a scan when your not listening when your at work or sleeps . This is less of problem later when the collection is in working order with the tags you want then you only add an albm now and then Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95479 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
[SlimDevices: Touch] Squeezebox Touch - Synology NAS / Help needed
hello, i finally added SBT to my system. previously i was playing my music files on my laptop. my configuration is; SBT + Synology DS211j + DACMagic2 + CA Azur 640 + Wireworld Starlight Coax cable i have several questions both on SBT configuration and playing Hi-Res flac files. 1. first i have my archive in main folders such as "albums" for standart mp3 files, "lossless albums" for flac files, "soundtracks", "classical" etc. i would like to reach them as seperate libraries as in JRiver. on my SBT under de albums i see them in one folder all mixed up. when i go thru "music folders" on SBT, i see them as i pointed under dedicated folder structure as i mentioned above but cannot play tracks in track number order, it just plays in alphabetical order. 2. another issue on album covers. i store all my album covers in the album folders named as front.jpg. problems occurs when there are more then one disc, i have subfolders such as "disc 1", "disc 2". covers cannot be displayed if there are subfolders in the main album folder. 3. scanning takes so much time, i don't want SBT rescan all the time. what is the best and quickest way rescanning the music archive for changes? 4. i can only get 44.1 while playing hi-res flac files. my DAC supports up to 96 but i always get 44.1, i have choosen my coax cable one of the preffered overe here, Wireworld Starlight, i don't it's the cable. what should i do to play the flac as they are. thanks in advance eLiasGR's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56430 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95479 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
