I had this problem for a long time until I changed the setting in LMS. In settings under the advanced tab and changed the artwork field as follows: %ARTIST - ALBUM - folder.jpg After a complete clear and rescan of the entire library everything worked perfectly and has ever since on all devices, touch, duet, LMS and iPeng. I consider blank tags an error ? The tagging and ripping apps I use don't create the tag if have nothing in it when saving ? Sometimes I find these in the wild, a lot of blank fields , wonder if some ripping app is to blame ? But there is an interesting bug here to, if you have different art per track (as becoming very common with some downloads). LMS becomes very confused and just pick one of the track arts randomly to be cover art, if all tracks have the same embedded art all is ok. http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=17634 Older versions picked the art in the first track (usually 1) to be cover art, that was predictable too . Unknown to me is the consequnce of multiple embedded artwork ? (I would just not do that). After the rescan, see if the Total Images count has increased by the number of missing album art. If some are still missing, they're probably too large; have the same problem with foobar2000. In that case, you'll need an image editor to shrink the jpg down to size. I use MS Office Picture Manager which is included in MS Office.
