The saving grace with Amazon is that they still have good customer service. Amazon is sending me a replacement order and arranged for UPS to pick up the return item. Ordered mine Saturday Ships from and sold by Amazon.com and it arrived today. Brand new AFAICT. Opened it up; joined it to my network; updated firmware; installed EDO, Screen Off and Weather screensavers (thanks triode and bluegaspode); and put it back in the box. My experience with Amazon is that they will do whatever they can to make things right if there is a problem. Just checked and it's $10 cheaper today! Get 'em while you can... My recent Touch purchase was also interesting. My order was not from Amazon, I ordered it from a local Hungarian PC webshop. Their central store is located in Germany. Actually everything looks as brand-new. The paper box was glued down with that round film on the edge. Then the inside black box also glued down. The remote , did have plastic film on the back, not on the front, but as I saw you Youtube unboxing videos, that's normal. The Touch itself had the blue film on the leg, then plastic film on the back, and the black plastic on the front display. The interesting thing was that it had 1 or 2 fingerprints on the display, was not from me, it was under the black plastic. Anyway I don't think it's used. Because of the hassle of sending the Touch back to USA from Japan I opted to keep it and get a partial refund from Amazon. Mine has fingerprints on the screen, scratches and scuff marks on internal packaging, scratches on and around the optical jack, and the power socket shows obvious signs of use. Wrapped in plastic (even the blue stuff), and no problem registering at MSB. However, I am sure a unit refurbished by Logitech would have its MSB account deleted as a matter of course. Just reporting in -- my Touch from Amazon arrived this afternoon. The box was completely sealed and showed no signs of having been previously opened. The Touch itself was pristine. It started up just fine, updated itself, then connected to the LMS and played fine. UPS tells me that tomorrow is the expected delivery date for the second Touch I recently ordered from Amazon.
