The only variation is the RAM size, isn't it? 2GB are good enough to run

I know you're starting a new topic for this, but in the meantime, make
sure you are following the exact instructions at this site. You
mentioned instructions on threads. You shouldn't need forum post
instructions, just follow these to the letter and installing LMS should
be very simple:

Hi, So i got my Raspberry Pi4B and burned the piCoreplayer on the SD
card and got it running on the rPi4B.
However the LMS never loaded on the rPi4B, I followed several threads on

As this has nothing to do with Spotty I'd recommend you post to a new or
pCP/LMS installation related thread. And you include the error message.

Keep in mind that there is nothng to setup for the rPI before using
PiCorePlayer. One burns the SDcard with piCorePlayer OS, then inserts
the card into the rPi. So the very first time you turn on the rPi out
of the box could be when it is running the piCorePlayer software.

Well, convoluted in the sense that I have to have my LMS (server) ON in
order to control Spotify via Orange Squeeze.
On the other hand, Pandora is an App already installed in the Squeezebox
touch so I can control Pandora on the Squeezebox using Orange Squeeze
WITHOUT having the LMS connected and my PC running (just the Squeeze Box
logged in to Mysqueezebox.com).
I don't have a dedicated NAS/media server or PC working as a media
server on all the time so for me is an added layer of complexity, hence
the choice of word "convoluted"

It worked great!
So I re-installed LMS on my laptop (clean slate), rescanned my music
library, added Spotty in the third-party plugins.
Now I can control Spotify on the LMS via the Squeezebox Touch on my
phone using Orange Squeeze App.
It is kind of a convoluted workaround, but it works.

Once you have installed LMS on your PC ... go to http://localhost:9000 -
then to Settings (bottom right of screen) ... then Plugins ... then
enable 3rd-party plugins ... then look through the list to enable Spotty
and any others that you want.

If this does not get you to the answer then best thing to do would be to
start a new thread in one of the other sections of this forum (not

You can't install Spotty on a Squeezebox Touch. Spotty is a plugin for

on your local network.
