[Touch-packages] [Bug 1462469] [NEW] apport-retrace strangely exits with 0 return code

2015-06-05 Thread Brian Murray
Public bug reported:

apport/sandboxutils.py contains the following code:

# sanity check: for a packaged binary we require having the executable in
# the sandbox; TODO: for an unpackage binary we don't currently copy its
# potential local library dependencies (like those in build trees) into the
# sandbox, and we call gdb/valgrind on the binary outside the sandbox.
if 'Package' in report:
for path in ('InterpreterPath', 'ExecutablePath'):
if path in report and not os.path.exists(sandbox_dir +
report[path]):
apport.error('%s %s does not exist (report specified package
%s)',
 path, sandbox_dir + report[path],
report['Package'])
sys.exit(0)

I don't think apport should exit with a 0 here, as setting up the
sandbox and the retrace was not successful. I discovered this when
trying to retrace _usr_lib_checkbox_qt_checkbox-qt-service.2001.crash
which is part of apport-test crashes.

Support an interface in QML and HTML to allow an app to keep the
screen on while the app is active. This has come up in several
scenarios, such as an ebook reader, a clock in night mode.

One solution to inhibit the screen blanking:

Add a new dbus rule to the default template
Provide a mediator (unity8) to control this, so it can restore the screen
blanking when the app is not active or has been closed
Prompt the user for confirmation the first time the app accesses it
use the trust store to avoid prompts each time
add to the System settings Other app access panel an entry for Screen or
Display so the setting could be revoked

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1462470] [NEW] pydoc.py uses old netscape navigator

2015-06-05 Thread Bernd Dietzel
Public bug reported:

File :
/usr/lib/python2.7/pydoc.py

line : 2216 ... 2226

pydoc.py uses old netscape navigator when the webbrowser module can not
be imported:

And it is vulnerable to shell command injection too,

code :

import webbrowser
webbrowser.open(url)
except ImportError: # pre-webbrowser.py compatibility
if sys.platform == 'win32':

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1462491] [NEW] StacktraceSource contains errors instead of source code

2015-06-05 Thread Brian Murray
Public bug reported:

The StacktraceSource information being added by apport-retrace contains Error
messages see the attachment in bug 1459716.
Here's part of it:

#0 0xb7751be0 in __kernel_vsyscall ()
#1 0xb6813057 in __GI_raise (sig=6) at ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/raise.c:55
[Error: ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/raise.c was not found in source tree]
#2 0xb6814699 in __GI_abort () at abort.c:89
[Error: abort.c was not found in source tree]
#3 0xb685119e in __libc_message (do_abort=1, fmt=0xb694b444 *** Error in
`%s': %s: 0x%s ***\n) at ../sysdeps/posix/libc_fatal.c:175
[Error: ../sysdeps/posix/libc_fatal.c was not found in source tree]

I think part of the issue is that apport-retrace only ever searches the
srcdir returned by get_source_tree (which is a temporary directory) and
doesn't search the sandbox for the filename. Another problem is that
find_file_dir is being passed a filename like
../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/raise.c which won't be found even if that

Title:
StacktraceSource contains errors instead of source code

Status in Apport crash detection/reporting:
  New
Status in apport package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
The StacktraceSource information being added by apport-retrace contains Error
messages see the attachment in bug 1459716.
  Here's part of it:

  #1 0xb6813057 in __GI_raise (sig=6) at ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/raise.c:55

`%s': %s: 0x%s ***\n) at ../sysdeps/posix/libc_fatal.c:175
[Error: ../sysdeps/posix/libc_fatal.c was not found in source tree]

I think part of the issue is that apport-retrace only ever searches
the srcdir returned by get_source_tree (which is a temporary
directory) and doesn't search the sandbox for the filename. Another
problem is that find_file_dir is being passed a filename like
../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/raise.c which won't be found even if that
  were in the srcdir.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1462489] [NEW] Allow apps to keep the screen on

2015-06-05 Thread Pat McGowan
Public bug reported:

Support an interface in QML and HTML to allow an app to keep the screen
on while the app is active. This has come up in several scenarios, such
as an ebook reader, a clock in night mode.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1462398] Re: wily boot is completely frozen

2015-06-05 Thread Barry Warsaw
After bisecting the dist-upgrade, apt-mark holding various packages
until I found the culprit.

It's either xserver-common, xserver-xorg-core, or xvfb (probably not the
latter).

If I unhold the first two and dist-upgrade, I see the freeze.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1462443] [NEW] Sending an MMS when data is off results in a simple Failed error

This happens when you have an attachment or send a group text.
Ideally we would indicate to the user something like Cell data off although
there is not much room

Status in ubuntu-download-manager package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
I tried to send an MMS. It took a bit longer than usual (~1 minute).
While doing it I was checking the list of open contexts with list-
context ofono script. The MMS IP context was opened at a point, but
then it was closed, and messaging app still reported it was sending
the MMS for 30 or more seconds. In the end messaging app showed
  reported success sending.

The message never arrived. However, I sent another MMS right after
that and that one was sent in just a few seconds and was received on
  the other end.

Taking a look at ~/.cache/upstart/dbus.log I see this error for the
  penultimate MMS sent:

  E0416 06:55:58.113751 11223 file_upload.cpp:345] Upload ID{
  e685ebedf31046ada4300c8b3113c07f } http://www.pepephone.com
ERROR::Network error ContentNotFoundError: the remote content was not
found at the server (similar to HTTP error 404)

This points to this error not being propagated to messaging app
somewhat. Maybe nuntium is not the culprit here, but I did not know
where to report this, so please add to the right project.

  Logs attached in tarball.

krillin / RTM proposed image 270

The same error (ContentNotFoundError) can be also seen when
*receiving* an MMS, when *uploading* the confirmation of MMS received
to the server. The MMS is never shown as received.

Hey mpt,
thanks for this explanation. I really appreciate the fact that you got to
review my old idea, even though 4 years have passed since I reported it! And I
honestly mean it.
Keep up the good work! :-)

Title:
Messaging menu icon should indicate when someone is typing a message
to me (but didn't send it yet))

Status in indicator-messages package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
Most of modern instant messengers can tell me, that someone is writing a
message to me before it's send. Usually it's shown when the person I'm talking
with types in the message field on his/her IM. As this feature is very useful,
for it alerts me that someone's saying something to me an I will get a message
in a moment, this feature has recently become available in many instant
messaging protocols.
This information is usually displayed in the conversation window. However, as
I am a proud Unity user, I always minimize the conversation window, because I
know that the messaging indicator will notify me about any new messages.
Unluckily, it will not inform me when a contact is typing a message to me.
As this feature is very useful and helpful in conversations, the messaging
indicator should somehow notify me. Of course it must be seen as well as an
information about new message - changing the icon or it's color would be okay.
This way, when I see the envelope icon turned, for example, green, I know that
in a moment I will get a new message (and then the icon becomes usually blue).

I'm using ir-keytable to map button presses on a remote control to

the keycodes I've produced a keymap file which is loaded by ir-
keytable. However, I have only succeeded in getting the arrow keys and
   enter working (KEY_UP, KEY_DOWN, KEY_LEFT, KEY_RIGHT, KEY_ENTER). All
the other keypresses that I've tried are recognised by ir-keytable,
but are not being passed to the system. For example, the KEY_BACKSPACE
which I need. Running ir-keytable -t and pressing the relevant remote
   button I get:

But it never works as backspace. For example, if I open a text editor

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1460419] Re: Display does not work fot the decrease screen brightness

2015-06-05 Thread Tyler Hicks
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a regular (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Examples of bugs with good StacktraceSources include:

bug 1297212
bug 1061026
bug 1225365
bug 1415515
bug 1304003
bug 1351558

So it seems to work some of the time.

The StacktraceSource information being added by apport-retrace contains Error
messages see the attachment in bug 1459716.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1458031] Re: sudo not properly cleaning out timestamp directory

2015-06-05 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package sudo - 1.8.12-1ubuntu2

---
sudo (1.8.12-1ubuntu2) wily; urgency=medium

  * Use tmpfs location to store timestamp files (LP: #1458031)
- debian/rules: change --with-rundir to /var/run/sudo
- debian/rules, debian/sudo.service, debian/sudo.sudo.init: stop
shipping init script and service file, as they are no longer
  necessary.
- debian/*.preinst, debian/*.postinst, debian/*.postrm: remove old init
  script with dpkg-maintscript-helper.
- debian/*.postinst: remove old /var/run/sudo to /var/lib/sudo
transition code, remove old /var/lib/sudo/ts timestamp directory.

Bug description:
Sudo 1.8.10 switched to a new time stamp file format that uses the
monotonic clock. Timestamp files moved from /var/lib/sudo to
  /var/lib/sudo/ts.

At boot, the contents of the /var/lib/sudo/ts directory needs to be
deleted, as per the warning in the build log:

configure: Warning: the /var/lib/sudo/ts directory must be cleared at boot
time.
configure: You may need to create a startup item to do this.

The sudo package ships with both an init script and a systemd unit
file. Unfortunately, the init script sets the date on the timestamp
files to epoch, which is no longer the proper way to invalidate them.
The systemd unit file doesn't seem to work at all.

  1433359068.641206: event type EV_KEY(0x01) key_down: KEY_BACKSPACE(0x0001)
  1433359068.641206: event type EV_SYN(0x00).

But it never works as backspace. For example, if I open a text editor
and use the arrow or enter keys, I can see the cursor moving around.
But the backspace does not work. Also any other keymap that I've tried
(e.g. numbers, letters) does not work.

  I'm using ir-keytable 1.6.0-2 in xubuntu 15.04. My system is a

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1460152] Re: apparmor cache not updated when apparmor.d rules change (breaks 15.04/stable - 15.04/edge updates)

2015-06-05 Thread John Johansen
Yes the apparmor_parser should set the mtime of the cache file to be the
most recent mtime timestamp of the set of policy files that resulted in
the cache files creation. This is something we have been meaning to do
for a long time but just never gotten around to it because there always
something more important.

I will come up with a patch today

Bug description:
The apparmor cache gets confused easily on upgrade.

  Here is what happens:
  - boot stable, /etc/apparmor.d/cache/usr.bin.ubuntu-core-launcher is mtime of
now because we generate the cache on boot
  - upgrade to edge, /etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.ubuntu-core-launcher is updated
and has the mtime of T (yesterday) when the file was put into the package
  - on the next reboot the apparmor_parser compares the mtime of the
cache/usr.bin.ubuntu-core-launcher (very very recent) with the mtime of the
souce usr.bin.ubuntu-core-launcher (much older)
  - cache does is *not* re-generate

  Possible solution:
  - clear cache on upgrade
  - make apparmor_parser store mtime of the source file in the header
  - make apparmor_parser use set the cache file to the mtime of the source file
used to generate the cache and re-generate if those get out-of-sync

  Original description:
  --

Rick Spencer ran into the situation that he ended up with a snappy image that
gave the following error:

  apparmor=DENIED operation=mkdir profile=/usr/bin/ubuntu-core-launcher
name=/tmp/snap.0_pastebinit.mvo_em33Zz/ pid=1092 comm=ubuntu-core-lau
requested_mask=c denied_mask=c fsuid=0 ouid=0

  Running:
  $ sudo apparmor_parser --skip-cache -r
/etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.ubuntu-core-launcher
  fixes it.

This strongly indicates that the cache has the old content and did not
get re-generated on upgrade or image build.

I also managed to reproduce this via:
  15.04/stable-15.04/edge

  The image is here:

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1460933] Re: VPN Connection lost after suspend / resume

2015-06-05 Thread Tyler Hicks
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a regular (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Prompt the user for confirmation the first time the app accesses it

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1462504] [NEW] find does not find camera files for normal user

2015-06-05 Thread Ingvar
Public bug reported:

I made a script to find an process files in a USB connected camera. A key part
of it is find -name *.JPG, where $me contains the numeric user id. My user
is created as an admin user by the user created during OS install.
But when this script is run by a normal user, find doesn't, i.e. no data
returned. Nautilus pops up as usual when the camera is connected and switched
on, ls /run/user/$me/gvfs/.. with an explicit path also works. So my
workaround is an ugly three layer for loop that uses ls instead.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 889073] Re: pcretest missing from libpcre

2015-06-05 Thread Steve Langasek
While pcretest was removed first from the Ubuntu version of the package,
this change has been included upstream in Debian. It is a violation of
Debian policy for such tools to be included in the runtime library
package the way it was, and the Debian maintainer opted to drop the tool
rather than package it separately.

We are not going to reintroduce divergence with Debian to add this tool.
If you think this tool is important to make available, please discuss it
with the Debian maintainer.

Bug description:
I'm using ir-keytable to map button presses on a remote control to
keyboard presses. I'm using an old Apple remote and after scanning for
the keycodes I've produced a keymap file which is loaded by ir-

  1433359068.641206: event type EV_KEY(0x01) key_down: KEY_BACKSPACE(0x0001)
  1433359068.641206: event type EV_SYN(0x00).

  1433359068.641235: event type EV_SYN(0x00).

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1462545] [NEW] [MS-7759, Realtek ALC892, Green Line Out, Rear] Playback problem

2015-06-05 Thread Diego
Public bug reported:

I have two 3mm audio jacks (green) on my computer. One in the front
(attached to the case) and another on the back (attached to the mother
board). I have headphone connected to the front, and an amp that I've
been using for a while connected to the back. I dual boot Windows 8.1
and both jacks work when I'm on Windows. However, on Ubuntu when I open
the sound options it seems to only recognize the headphones. Despite
showing two devices, both seem to control the headphones. The amp works,
but only when I disconnect it from the back and connect it to the front
port.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 409644] Re: Print to file folder chooser dialog creates folders with Open button

Title:
Print to file folder chooser dialog creates folders with Open button

Status in GTK+ GUI Toolkit:
  Fix Released
Status in gtk+3.0 package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
In at least two apps where a filename is entered along with a drop-
down directory chooser with an other option, the dialog to choose
the other directory will unintentionally create new directories.

  gnome-print (?):
  1. Start Gedit (or Firefox, etc.).
  2. File--Print...
  3. Select Print to File under the Printers column.
  4. Save in folder drop-down -- Other...
  5. Type TEST in the Location.
  6. Click Open or press Enter.
  7. BUG: A folder called TEST is created and the folder choosing dialog is
closed, with TEST selected.

  gnome-utils (?):
  1. Start Take Screenshot (Apps--Accessories--Take Screenshot)
  2. Continue at #4, above.

Since my intention is something like a save as operation, and the
dialog looks like a save-as dialog, I often type the filename that I
want to use, and press enter. But then a directory is created with
the filename that I want to use. Very annoying because now I have to
find that directory and delete it.

To fix this, I have a couple of ideas/suggestions:
   * Utilize a dedicated directory chooser dialog (is there one for Gnome, as
in MS Windows?), or
   * When a filename is entered in this other chooser, the filename in the
original dialog (e.g. print-to-file, or Screenshot save preview) should be set
to it, and the save in folder should also be adjusted to the folder that was
open in the dialog.
   * Fixing the current chooser dialog so it only creates folders when Create
Folder button is pressed, or
   * Separate the location+filename selection such as the Save As... dialog
to a separate stage in the print-to-file process, or
   * Adjust the print-to-file dialog in some way I don't know yet.

  Ubuntu 9.04
  Gnome 2.26.1
  Gedit 2.26.1
  Firefox 3.0.13

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1388353] Re: package initramfs-tools 0.103ubuntu4.2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2015-06-05 Thread Brent Baccala
I saw this symptom, but for a different reason.

Installing and removing initramfs-tools-ubuntu-touch removes /usr/sbin
/flash-touch-initrd, but leaves the script /etc/initramfs/post-update.d
/zz-flash-touch-initrd, which attempts to call /usr/sbin/flash-touch-
initrd and fails.

My solution was to purge, not simply remove, initramfs-tools-ubuntu-
touch.

Bug description:
  Ubuntu-Mate 15.10 development version updated as of 4-Jun 2300 UTC .
  Video driver is nouveau

  Problem began upon upgrading of

 xserver-xorg-core_1.17.1-0ubuntu3_amd64 and
 xserver-xorg-common_1.17.1-0ubuntu3_amd64xorg
  to
 xserver-xorg-core_1.17.1-0ubuntu4_amd64 and
 xserver-xorg-common_1.17.1-0ubuntu4_amd64xorg

and was resolved by reverting to the pre-upgrade packages. Apparently random
text characters, or parts thereof, would be missing in various applications
including the Lightdm greeter, Firefox, Pidgin, Mate-terminal, the Mate panel
clock, Unetbootin, and the Mate menu. This occurs both at my monitor's native
resolution (1680x1050) and at 1600x1200.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1462553] [NEW] script file can call non-existent program

2015-06-05 Thread Brent Baccala
Public bug reported:

Installing and then removing initramfs-tools-ubuntu-touch leaves a
configuration file /etc/initramfs/post-update.d/zz-flash-touch-initrd
that calls /usr/sbin/flash-touch-initrd, which was removed when the
package was removed. This causes initramfs-tools to fail during its
post-installation script.

** Affects: initramfs-tools-ubuntu-touch (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided

They currently don't appear to be managed (good), but running a few

[Touch-packages] [Bug 748539] Re: Multi-monitor - Panel and launcher visible on top of multimonitor non-focused fullscreen apps

2015-06-05 Thread jim Stefanik
Reporting same big. Running a fully patched install of Ubuntu 15.04
AMD64, still happens. Fullscreened Virtualbox VM on left monitor has
the Unity menu bar pop up as soon as I take focus away from it on either
center or right monitors. Same thing with a fullscreened video in VLC,
which is really annoying since it cuts the top off the video.

Status in Ayatana Design:

Status in Unity:

Status in Unity 6.0 series:
  Won't Fix
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: unity

  See the attached screenshot.

When an app is fullscreen (fullscreen, not maximized) on a monitor,
but another program is focused on the other monitor, then the unity
panel is displayed at when it shoudn't be.

I appreciate this probably isn't a priority, but for a future release
it would be good seeing as it's the little details that matter.

  --
  Desired solution:

  - When an app is fullscreen (fullscreen, not maximized) on a monitor,
but another program is focused on the other monitor, the unity menu
bar should not be displayed on the monitor that is displaying the
  fullscreen app.

  - When fixing this bug, also look at bug #1065425

  WORKAROUND FOR THIS BUG:
Turn Always On Top on via right-clicking the titlebar of your window,
before making it go fullscreen.
This will prevent the Unity panel from rendering on top of this
fullscreen-window, when using the other screen.

Title:
apt repository disk format has race conditions

Status in apt package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Apt archives are accessed over HTTP; this has resulted in a cluster of
bugs (reported here, and upstream) about problems behind intercepting
  caches, problems with squid etc.

  There are 3 interlocking issues:
A - mirror networks may be out of sync with each other (e.g. a file named on
one mirror may no longer exist, or may not yet exist, on another mirror)
B - updating files on a single mirror is not atomic - and even small windows
of inconsistency will, given enough clients, cause headaches.
C - caches exacerbate race conditions - when one happens, until the cached
data expires, all clients of the cache will suffer from the race

Solving this requires one of several things:
   - file system transactions
   - an archive format that requires only weakly ordered updates to the files
at particular urls with the assumption that only one file may be observed to
change at a time (because a lookup of file A, then B, may get a cache miss on A
and a cache hit on B, so even if all clients strictly go A, then B, updates may
still see old files when paths are reused).
   - super robust clients that repeatedly retry with progressively less cache
friendly headers until they have a consistent view. (This is very tricky to do).

It may be possible to do a tweak to the apt repository format though,
which would allow publishing a race-free format in parallel with the
existing layout, while clients migrate. To be safe against issue (A)
the mirror network would need some care around handling of dns round-
robin mirrors [to minimise the situation where referenced data is not
available], but this should be doable - or alternatively clients doing
'apt-get update' may need to be willing to retry to accommodate round-
  robin skew.

What would such an archive format look like?
It would have only one well known file name (e.g. Releases-2), which would be
internally signed. Rather than signing e.g. Packages.gz, it would sign a
uniquely named packages and sources file - e.g. Packages-$HASH.gz or
Packages-$serialno.gz.

Backwards compatibility is achieved by using the same filenames for
deb's and the like. We need to keep writing Packages.gz though, and
Releases, until we no longer worry about old apt clients. We can
optimise disk space a little by making Packages.gz a symlink to a
Packages-$HASH.gz (and so on for Sources..), but it may be simpler and
less prone to unexpected behaviour to keep using regular files.

  tl;dr
   * Unique file names for all unique file content with one exception
   * Releases-2, a self-signed file that provides hashes and names the index
files (Packages, Sources, Translations etc)
   * Coexists with existing archive layout

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1407375] Re: Segfault on Install with Radeon + Intel iGPU both enabled

Title:
Segfault on Install with Radeon + Intel iGPU both enabled

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
My system is an Intel i7 4770k on an asus Z87 WS motherboard with an
AMD R9 290X graphics card. With Intel iGPU enabled in the UEFI, the
  installer crashes.

I have 4 displays, 3 attached to the R9 290X and one attached to the
  onboard graphics.

I hit ctrl+alt+f1 and looked at /var/log/X.org.0 log and it indicated
a Segmentation fault. I was able to continue with the install by
unplugging all monitors but the primary monitor AND disabling the iGPU
in the UEFI. I was somewhat surprised that it was necessary to
completely disable the onboard graphics because in many OEM
configurations onboard and PCIe will be enabled for possible multi-
  monitor configurations.

After installing, apt-get update apt-get upgrading the distro, I
installed the proprietary fglrx driver using software center, and that
  worked fine.

I re-enabled the iGPU however the system appears to hang hard. On two
of the displays (attached to the R9 290X) I can see the animated boot
screen, but ctrl+alt+f1 does not work, and the caps lock light does
not toggle if I hit capslock. No mouse cursor. I did not try ssh, but
the system did not respond to a 'tap' of the power button to shut it
  down.

I would be willing to experiment a bit here if someone can point me
the right way. I realize I might have to do some things at the command
line, but I wanted to bring this to your attention because I am not
sure enabling the iGPU should causes the system to become unusable.

I am using the official gnome variant of the 14.10 install USB stick.

I tried both Try Ubuntu and Install Ubuntu from the UEFI boot menu
and both options behave approximately the same way in terms of the
  Segfault.

The list have list entries with that format
  | [check]Label |

I've used a custom item for those doing that:

  'ListItem.Base {
  property string textEntry: ;
  property bool checkStatus: false;

  Row {
  anchors.top: parent.top
  anchors.bottom: parent.bottom
  spacing: units.gu(2)

  CheckBox {
  anchors.verticalCenter: parent.verticalCenter
  checked: checkStatus
  }
  Label {
  anchors.verticalCenter: parent.verticalCenter
  text: textEntry
  }
  }
  }

  But:
  - that's not standard
  - clicking on the label doesn't tweak the checkbox as it does for other
controls (I can hack that easily if needed though)
  - the UI might not be consistent with what is used in other place

This bug might also be a place to discuss if those items are fine to
use or non coherent with our use of the toolkit in other places...

  Original Description:

Since a recent update (around April 29th), sometimes (approximately once a
day) when I lock my computer screen (CTRL+L or using system menu) the computer
freeze for a while (2 to 30 seconds) before showing the login screen.
Then when I try to unlock the screen I need to enter my password twice (with
no error message after the first try).
Once logged in, all applications are closed. Uptime is still running (since
no reboot) and services too (with no interruption).

Looking at the apport.log file (see attached) it seems that when I try
to lock the screen, compiz crashes.

I've attached the compiz crash file too (_usr_bin_compiz.1000.crash)
but without the 100Mo data of base64 core dumb…

  I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 AMD64.
  Graphics drivers: nvidia-331.113 (tested)
