[Touch-packages] [Bug 1451728] Re: [master] kde-config-telepathy-accounts package install error
i speek french !!! i re install !!! ciao -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to libaccounts-glib in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1451728 Title: [master] kde-config-telepathy-accounts package install error Status in Kubuntu PPA: Fix Released Status in Telepathy KDE: Fix Released Status in kaccounts-integration package in Ubuntu: In Progress Status in kaccounts-providers package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in ktp-accounts-kcm package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in libaccounts-glib package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in kaccounts-providers source package in Wily: Triaged Status in ktp-accounts-kcm source package in Wily: Triaged Bug description: Installing from Kubuntu 15.04 backports: Unpacking kde-config-telepathy-accounts (15.04.0-0ubuntu1~ubuntu15.04~ppa1) over (0.9.0-0ubuntu1) ... dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/kde-config-telepathy-accounts_15.04.0-0ubuntu1~ubuntu15.04~ppa1_amd64.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/share/accounts/services/facebook-im.service', which is also in package account-plugin-facebook 0.12+15.04.20150415.1-0ubuntu1 dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe) SRU information === [Impact] It's not possible to install KDE and Unity in co-existence because of several file conflicts: many files under /usr/share/accounts/{providers,services}/ are provided by both the package "kaccounts-providers" and packages build from the "account- plugins" source package, for example 'account-plugin-facebook'. [Test case] Install both kaccounts-providers and account-plugin-facebook: you'll get file conflicts for /usr/share/accounts/services/facebook-im.service and /usr/share/accounts/providers/facebook.provider. You might get other conflicts as well, but those are due to bug 1565772 (also nominated for SRU). [Regression potential] Minimal: the changed packages belong to the default KDE installation, and have already landed in Yakkety. Things appear to be working fine there: account creation is still possible under KDE, even after changing the file paths as per this fix. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1721223] Re: Networkd fail to set ip address between leases if ip address changes on UbuntuCore
This bug was fixed in the package systemd - 235-2ubuntu3 --- systemd (235-2ubuntu3) bionic; urgency=medium * Revert "Skip test-bpf in autopkgtest, currently is failing." This reverts commit 75cf986e450e062a3d5780d1976e9efef41e6c4c. * Fix test-bpf test case on ubuntu. * Skip rename tests in containers, crude fix for now. -- Dimitri John Ledkov Mon, 13 Nov 2017 00:06:42 + ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1721223 Title: Networkd fail to set ip address between leases if ip address changes on UbuntuCore Status in Snappy: Fix Committed Status in systemd package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in systemd source package in Xenial: New Status in systemd source package in Zesty: New Status in systemd source package in Artful: In Progress Bug description: [Impact] * networkd fails to renew a lease, specifically it fails to change IPv4 address via DHCP renew/rebind. * networkd relies on a kernel feature to promote secondary IPv4 address to primary, upon primary address lease expiry. * this sysctl tunable was not enabled by default in systemd. [Test Case] Add a device, and assign two IPv4 addresses. First one, with a short lease time. Second one, with a different ip and a longer lease time. Second one should be treated as secondary ip address, and upon expiry of the first one, should be promoted and become primary ip address. The below scripted instructions simulate this: sudo ip link add name testleases type dummy sudo ip address add 192.0.2.10/27 dev testleases \ valid_lft 5 preferred_lft 5 sudo ip address add 192.0.2.11/27 dev testleases \ valid_lft 11 preferred_lft 11 ip address list dev testleases | \ grep -q 'inet 192.0.2.10/27 scope global dynamic testleases' \ && echo ok || echo not ok ip address list dev testleases | \ grep -q 'inet 192.0.2.11/27 scope global secondary dynamic testleases' \ && echo ok || echo not ok sleep 6 ip address list dev testleases | \ grep -q 'inet 192.0.2.11/27 scope global dynamic testleases' \ && echo ok || echo not ok sudo ip link del dev testleases [Regression Potential] * This changes the default kernel behaviour, previously upon expiry of the primary address, secondary addresses were removed as well. Which is imho silly. * comparing networkd renewal with isc-dhcp renewal the semantics are quite different. Upon acquiring new ip address, isc-dhcp would instantly flush existing ip address, and add a new one. Networkd add the new address as secondary, and waits for old one to expire first before promoting / switching to using the new ip address. IMHO kernel should have an API to promote secondary ip address to a primary one. * This update also applies other safe-looking options, which are currently also already applied via sysctls shipped in other packages # Source route verification net.ipv4.conf.default.rp_filter = 1 net.ipv4.conf.all.rp_filter = 1 # Do not accept source routing net.ipv4.conf.default.accept_source_route = 0 net.ipv4.conf.all.accept_source_route = 0 # Enable hard and soft link protection fs.protected_hardlinks = 1 fs.protected_symlinks = 1 * This update also applies the following upstream/bufferbloat.net recommended setting # Fair Queue CoDel packet scheduler to fight bufferbloat net.core.default_qdisc = fq_codel * [~racb] There are complex network setups out there, such as HA with corosync/pacemaker, OpenStack Neutron, and that kind of thing. If this fix were SRU'd, will all of these things in the wild cope with this sysctl change? [Other Info] * Original bug report Hi there, we found a replicable issue that involves the Ubuntu Core networking and causes complete loss of connectivity. We run a custom board with ubuntu core: the architecure is amrhf. We replicated this issue with an official Ubuntu Core image on a Raspberry Pi: other platform was been tested. It shows that it is a snap core problem which interests networkd: we use the default network stack based on networkd + netplan. Below steps to replicate the issue. 1)Setup a dhcp server for lease of about some minutes (i.e 10 minutes). 2)Boot the board and wait for get an ip from dhcp server 3)Before the lease expires, set a reservation for a different ip address Depending on lease duration before the lease expires( for 10 minute we have 2 minutes before ), networkd configure the new address in addition to the previous one. When the lease expire both ip address ( the prevoius and the new one ) disappear from the interested network interface. Depending on lease duration before the second lease expires ( for 10 minure we have 2 minutes before ) networkd configure
[Touch-packages] [Bug 1574354] Re: playing .mp4 in VLC freezes machine
Hi ! I encounter this issue too (complete X freeze sometimes when seeking too much in videos in VLC). I thought that was related to using Nvidia VDPAU. I saw this behaviour on 2 very different machines. Using KDE Neon based on Ubuntu 16.04. Tried latest NVIDIA drivers & VLC PPA. This PPA is quite outdated, though. But as this is a complete X freeze (sometimes I cannot even switch to the console) it seems quite low-level. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1574354 Title: playing .mp4 in VLC freezes machine Status in mesa package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: VLC was running fine on 15.10 but since upgrading, video files (e.g. .mp4) play for a few minutes and then crash the whole machine (i.e. I have to power off and on). [Touch-packages] [Bug 1733103] [NEW] DNS hostname resolution fails intermittently
Public bug reported: Since upgrading to 17.10, hostname resolution (via, e.g., Firefox or the "host" command-line tool) does not work reliably anymore. Once hostname resolution fails (Firefox 57: "Hmm. We're having trouble finding that site."), manually resolving the host via "systemd-resolve" succeeds and temporarily allows Firefox to also resolve that host. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1733103] Re: DNS hostname resolution fails intermittently
Note that on my machine (clean 16.10 install, upgraded to 17.04 and later 17.10), DNS resolution already partially broke in 17.04 (involving the switch to systemd-resolve). With Ubuntu 17.04, DNS resolution was broken after suspending, moving to a different WiFi, and resuming the machine. This could be manually fixed by manually running dhclient. This does not fix the abovementioned issue, though. ** Description changed: Since upgrading to 17.10, hostname resolution (via, e.g., Firefox or the "host" command-line tool) does not work reliably anymore. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1733138] Re: network-manger bug with wifi in ubuntu budgie 17.10
what the official said: As I understand this, there are some problems in NetworkManager 11月 19 05:24:31 ATC NetworkManager[1086]: ((src/devices/nm-device.c:1452)): assertion '' failed so initialization of a device fails. This seems to be the core issue, although I can't tell you why it fails. You probably need start the kernel and NetworkManager in debug mode to tell you more. There is a crash in ModemManager: 11月 19 05:24:32 ATC systemd[1]: ModemManager.service: Main process exited, code=dumped, status=11/SEGV 11月 19 05:24:32 ATC NetworkManager[1086]: [1511040272.2988] ModemManager disappeared from bus 11月 19 05:24:32 ATC systemd[1]: ModemManager.service: Unit entered failed state. 11月 19 05:24:32 ATC systemd[1]: ModemManager.service: Failed with result 'core-dump'. so please go and report it to your distribution vendor (Ubuntu, at launchpad.net) maybe they can fix it.
