To advise, one should be backing up their data, regardless if they intend to test a kernel or not so in the event of a disaster (ex. Christopher, I am not that well educated in the functions / operations of Linux / Ubuntu to attempt this. I fear that if it doesn't work I will lose a lot of information that I presently cannot back up. If I were more knowledgeable I'm sure I would feel more comfortable trying this but I'm still learning and I am unfamiliar with Kernels. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. If the test did not allow you to test to the issue (ex. you couldn't boot into the OS) please make a comment in your report about this, and continue to test the next most recent kernel version until you can test to the issue. I went through more nonsense trying to update the bios to version 3.60 but I finally succeeded and reinstalled Ubuntu 14.04. Updating bios 3.50 to 3.60 did not improve anything. I downloaded Ubuntu version 15.0? hoping that it may make some difference. It did not.
