Re: [Trisquel-users] How to Update the LibreJS of Icecat on Trisquel 8

Magic Banana, thank you for the help but it didn't work. But grateful for the
attention. Chaosmonk I hope to see this update soon even, I would like to
install an extension that also is not compatible with this version of icecat.
In regard to Abrowser, he is cool, but I use the network tor with privoxy and
in abrowser some sites ask for captcha but in icecat, as in the tor browser,
don't ask for it.

There is no newer version of Icecat at this time. Icecat is currently
based on Firefox ESR52, which is too old for the latest version of
LibreJS. Support for ESR52 ended on September 5th, so hopefully Icecat
will switch to ESR60 soon. In the meantime, Abrowser is based on Firefox
61, so it should be able to install the latest version of LibreJS.

Does not work the same. Of the same error that I spoke to. Is there a way to
"trick" the browser saying that it is a newer version of icecat?

If I go directly in the store of mozilla of this message: This add-on
requires a newer version of Firefox (at least version 60.0). You are using
Firefox 52.0.

Magic Banana, I Did what you said says that you do not have to update
anything.

Can you install it if you open Icecat and go to
https://www.gnu.org/software/librejs/ and click on the thing that says " In
GNU IceCat or any Mozilla browser, you can install LibreJS by clicking on
this link and following the subsequent instructions: librejs-7.16.0.xpi." ???
