My initial reaction is to say It can't work, because Marlowe is so tied
into that whole late 30s/40s Los Angeles ambiance, but the BBC made it work
with Sherlock, so anything's possible, I suppose. (I exempt Elementary,
since it just didn't work for me in the viewings I gave it).
On the other hand, Castle hasn't done anything for me, so I expect this
to go nowhere.
The best Marlowe? Dick Powell. Garner came second, and would have been
perfect with a better script, but is still not bad. Bogart is third.
