With the change from @replies - mentions we the statuses/replies method to statuses/mentions. Rest assured statuses/mentions will still be available, but to reduce confusion and promote the new standard we removed statuses/replies in favor of statuses/mentions in the documentation. In other words statuses/replies is now a hidden alias to statuses/mentions.
