Re: [U2] Looking for work in Toronto area
Michael, I do not know if they are hiring or need someone on site, but you asked about companies in the MV space in Toronto, so... In the early 90's I got a work permit and did some work for Serta Mattress of Toronto. At the time they had Reality. Many Serta factories have gone to UniVerse with the OHM Bedding software so it's possible they have as well. It has also been long enough that they could have migrated from MV altogether. I offer this as just a possibility to look into. Best wishes, Bruce On Wed, Sep 11, 2013 at 10:16 PM, Michael Spencer mspen...@dbkeeper.comwrote: Hi All, My current employer is moving from Universe to SAP in a few weeks and so I am once again looking for work in the greater Toronto area. I have over 25 years of experience in D3 and Universe with my current job also involving some System Builder work. If you know of any current offerings or even have a list of companies that use multi-value databases I would really appreciate the help. This was not listed internally nor on the web site. The reason being the position was outsourced to Wipro a few years ago. Wipro is looking to fill this position. I posted the job there but it shows the Location as anywhere, yet I specified the correct location in the location field when I created the posting. Weird. Re: [U2] Error connecting to Universe using Web Service Developer Tool
Jason Lin tempest at ucla.edu writes: Bill, I don't know if connection pooling license is the issue here. We are running Unvierse 10.1.2 and the client tool is version 10.3 so there may be some compatibility issue. Nevertheless, Uniobject.net works so I will have to use that for now. BTW, was WSD a easy to use tool to develop web service in Universe? My current solution is to develop ASP.NET web service and use Uniobject.net to query Universe database. Jason To answer your question, I found the tool to be very easy to use, I mean it's no more difficult than any other Eclipse-based tool. Improvements have been made of late that have made it better but it could use a few more features. But, again, overall it is an easy tool to use to create web services for U2.
