RE: [U2] XMAP Question

2008-01-24 Thread John Jenkins
I've re-parsed the document to show the hierarchy more easily - if you use a
proportional font it may get jigged about again (we'll see):

123456

2586 900

AZ
1
WIDGET

2586 901+C

The nesting is valid - If there's nothing specific in later release notes
(XMAP or mapping tool changes), could you post the schema and the database
and tool versions?

This *may* have some relevance:

Issue 9636 - Problem Description

UniQuery -- When using UniQuery TOXML ELEMENTS options with or without a
mapping file, and specifying two MV associations, but only one field of
the first association is being listed, the association's element tag
description for the second association is incorrect. This problem has been
resolved.

Subject: [U2] XMAP Question

Hi all -

I am having an issue getting an XMAP to work when parsing a soap return.
The
return is coming from a 3rd party and I do not have the option to change
what
they send. I used the XDOMLocate and honed the returned XML to what I need
to parse, and its similar to this:

123456
2586 900

AZ
1
WIDGET

2586 901+C

Following the docs, I used the LIST...TOXML ELEMENTS WITHSCHEMA command to
create the .xsd file, then using the XML/DB Tool to create the XMAP. The
XMAP
is recognized, but when it parses, all I get back is null data. I'm pretty
sure the tool did not create the XMAP to hit all layers, nor did the TOXML
command as described in the docs. I am also concerned that they return the
same tag within itself (i.e. convNumber).

Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated!

Thanks,
