Re: u2ug.org
I believe the U2UG.org is taking over the list as of May 1st. So not to double their efforts, they removed the forums. Don Verhagen. Re: Extracting data directly from dbf files...
I have a program(s) to convert a DBF to a U2 file natively it's in Unidata not Universe though. Email me directly if interested. Thanks, [EMAIL PROTECTED] 4:47:06 PM 04/07/2004 Has anyone developed any processes to natively read '.dbf' type files from within Universe basic? Re: The lists are closing
UGH. For the last ()%#*#(^ time IBM is not sponsoring U2UG.org it is an *independent* non-profit user group. So IBM will not be causing a change to accomodate anything. u2ug.org doesn't have *customers*, it has *members*. Go to the site, read, and then comment. So if *you* want to influence change, become a *member* and change it. Donald Verhagen 1690 S Congress Avenue, Suite 210 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Delray Beach, FL 33445 USA Tandem Staffing Solutions, Inc. That's why it's called SOFTware. It can change to meet the needs of its customers. I agree with the reduction of efficiency that the new method will cause. Hopefully IBM can cause a change to accomodate the high level of service the oliver list provided. my 1 cent. - Original Message - From: Dennis Bartlett [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: 'U2 Users Discussion List' [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, March 30, 2004 5:18 AM Subject: RE: The lists are closing Listen, Will the blind, deaf and possibly dumb Johnson Are you hearing nothing? Re: U2UG Contract
It would give the U2UG.org organization rights *not* IBM, they are seperate from each other. Don Verhagen [EMAIL PROTECTED] 8:58:04 AM 03/29/2004 [snipped..] I heartily agree with Martin Phillips, that I would think twice and consult our legal advisors before posting anything (perhaps even a link to another site) to the IBM forum. It appears that the legal language would allow IBM to: use, display, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, perform, promote, archive, translate, and to create derivative works and compilations, in whole or in part. Such license will apply with respect to any form, media, technology known or later developed [snipped] Lee Bacall, President Binary Star Development Corporation http://www.binarystar.com Phone: +1 (954) 791-8575 Cell: +1 (954) 937-8989 -- u2-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.oliver.com/mailman/listinfo/u2-users -- u2-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.oliver.com/mailman/listinfo/u2-users

What I'm looking for is an excel file for tax rates on salary income. I'm assuming you take the gross * (# payperiods in year) for annualized salary and use that as a base (depending on the # of dependants on the w4) would give you the % to charge for fed inc tax. Is that how it works? (Annualized Salary - pre tax $) * (% based on dedecutions from table) = Fed withholding $ I'm not looking to include state / FICA at this point Is the above the correct method for determining taxable income for a paycheck, and if it is via tables where can I get the table in computer readable format. RE: Redback Properties
Mike, I do as Vance does. As far as I know Redback properties are similiar to an attribute in a record in MV, and as such can only contain VM and SVM (2-dimensions) for REDBACK to handle it through Redback.RedFields. But as Vance suggests there is a way around it, you just need to create your own array/string handling. I hardly even use Redback.Redfields any more in ASP and just SPILT the Redback property into an VB (Script) Array. Example: myASPArray = Split(myRedbackObject(MyMVField),chr(253)) Verus Set MyRedField = Server.CreateObject(Redback.Redfield) MyRedField.StringValue = myRedbackObject(MyMVField) Thanks, Donald Verhagen 1690 S Congress Avenue, Suite 210 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Delray Beach, FL 33445 USA Tandem Staffing Solutions, Inc. When I attempt to send the entire record, the RedPage only returns the first attribute. I could not find anything in the documentation short of allowing multivalues and subvalues. In a nutshell what I am really trying to accomplish is to pass a print image back in a Redback Property but only the first line is returned. Any ideas?
