Re: [Ubnt_users] Firmware V6.0

2017-05-08 Thread Ridgetop Networks
It moved from beta into general release pretty fast, like some other recent
firmwares have. I think there are other motivations like security patches
and high priority bug fixes, when it moves fast like that - making
important updates available to people who aren't beta testers.

I haven't had any problems yet with v6.0.4 beta, for what it's worth... On
the other hand, I had been running 6.0.3 beta for weeks before I saw
problems.

I have mixed XM and XW clients on XM and XW aps. I had them all on almost
half the beta v6 releases, and never had this problem with clients dropping.

I was still on RC2 when the 6.0 final came out and people started reporting
their clients were dropping and M900 radios were getting bricked. I'm
hanging out on RC2 until these things get resolved.

mca-provision-list and mca-provision-rm to find and remove the entries for
the old AC1 server.

Re: [Ubnt_users] [WISPA Members] Off site Backup

I've used Cobian to back up home PCs to external disks and/or mapped drives
on a NAS. It's always worked well for me. It only reports errors with a
system tray icon and small alert, so if the users aren't hands-on with
verifying their backups on a schedule, you should probably set up email
logs.

A year ago I never guessed things would turn out this well, but I'm liking
it way better than the direction U-CRM was going, and it's nice to have the

this one. Thanks for the notice, Matt!
