Hello,

I have got a problem with YASR conf file.
I want to use speech dispatcher, so in my yasr.conf is the line:

synthesizer=speech dispatcher
When I start yasr it says the line above is wrong.
Could anyone write what is wrong?

Thank you a lot

Firefox, Lynx, Links

2008-07-30 Thread Jan Mura

Hello,

it's strange I know but I am not able to work with Orca and Firefox. As I
read somewhere in Help it shuld work similarly to any other Screen reader.
So after pressing h you should jump to header and so.
But nothing works for me. Do you know where a mistake could be? Maybe I'm in
awrong mode or something.
Also does anyone use Lynx or Links in console? Now I'm browsing with
Edbrowse.

Thanks

Braille display

2008-07-28 Thread Jan Mura
Hello,
I've got Ubuntu Desktop installed. But I have problems with Braille display.
It doesn't work with Orca still write down that there is a startup problem.
The second thing is if I push ALT+CTRL+Fx am I in console? Should I install
some reader for console? The truth is Gnome terminal is enough for me. I
hoped the display would run in non X console.

Thanks a lot

Apache/MySQL/PHP

2008-06-21 Thread Jan Mura
Hello,

I've been installed the desktop version of Ubuntu.
Now I would like to create web application for my employer. So I would
need to install Apache2, MySQL 5 and PHP 5.
This combination I've got also on Windows box but would like to have a copy
of developing environment on Linux.
The problem is I don't know exact names of the packages. Mainly for MySQL.
So I think it is apache2 for apache, php5 for PHP but not sure of the
database.

So it would works like

sudo apt-get install apache2 php5

and the last thinng I am missing is the MySQL package name.

I would appreciate your help or even some generalize acces to find out the
names of certain packages.

Thanks a lot

2008-03-10 Thread Jan Mura
Hello,

I would like to ask, if there is some installation with screen reader an/or
braille display enabled. Which installation CD or what kind of installation
should I use?
Is there some HOWTO or help regarding this topic?
I've tried to find something on the pages but had no success.

Thank a lot
