I prefer consistancy, but the amount of code to keep Control S around for the installer is small enough such that it can be left there. Chad, The command to start the screen reader in both GDM and Gnome is no longer control S. The command is now Alt Windows S. Have you made sure your volume didn't end up getting muted or turned down too low? Try using your multimedia keys to unmute or raise the volume.
