Ken,

Is your desire to move this page into production assuming new artwork
will come forward shortly, or would you prefer to keep the page off-line
till a more polished look can be achieved?

and ready for the real life.

Breathe/submission

PD:

Daniel you are crazy quick and with this "tempo" we have the
actions-field finished soon. But some of your Icons are very good
sketches and needs already a final touch - with slowless and
perfection. ;)

Sebastian can do the final quality-control and make some corrections if

Yes, because it's very overloaded ... than it works sometimes. ;) In
general use fix line-strongs like 0,5 - 1 - 1,2 - 1,5 - 2 etc.

If you zoom and your grid (#) is on you can see the blocks. Every block
is a pixel. If you are in the middle of this pixel, the final result is
blur. So shift your lines and fillings so good you can in this
quadrants. ;) okay? :)

Took another look at mail-send-receive.

The plate layer is empty. It's likely easiest to fix if you insert the
graphics into a fresh template.

You should turn on the pixel-grid (# Key, at least on this keyboard).
All horizontal and vertical edges should be exactly on the grid for
sharp rendering.

See
https://fedorahosted.org/echo-icon-theme/wiki/Guidelines/CommonMistakes

The outline or your arrows is less than 1 pixel strong. Avoid this, it
can't be rendered well.

It's much better to get you to the point where you get all of this right
than constantly needing someone else to fix it ;)

Please ask if anything isn't clear.

mail-read and mail-new are awesome. ;)

mail-mark-junk, the red should be more intensive.

mail-reply-sender should have a darker outline in the arrows (small
sizes).

mail-mark-important:
In the 22x22-icon the "!" can be moved a little bit more to left.
The 16x16-icon need a new "!" drawed for see better that this is a
"!". ;)

But all over ... very nice. ;)

Be sure that all icons are on their "plate" and correctly placed...

I checked the arrow. The inner contours do not follow the outline as
precise as they should. What should be a horizontal segment isn't.

The go-up icon is also asymmetrical.

It's nice to see your contribution, but please slow down a bit to work

Not removed, it's now at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incoming/Concepts/Panels_and_Bars

It contains concepts that would require developer effort. Rather much of
that for the mixed title/menbar idea. Even with dedicated developers, it
would be very unlikely to be ready and tested in time for Karmic.

The new Incoming/Concepts section exists for exactly this kind of
proposal.

Incoming/Karmic shall only contain realistic artwork submissions and
proposals.

I agree. The structure of the page is realy nice...the one thing that still
rubs me the wrong way is the images used on the page. While they do inspire a
feeling of simplicity and rawness which might make new members feel at home I
get the feeling that they could be improved. Anyone have any ideas?

Wow, I can see how frustrating this is but we need to remain transparent
to the workings of Canonical and continue to grow the Team, create high
quality submissions, and add value.

Based on the conversations of late I would say we are on the right path.
