Apache issues

2012-03-09 Thread boden.matthews
Hey everyone,Does anyone know anything about Apache? I have a webserver, but when I visit the page (www.destructionincorporated.com), I just get the root folder with cgi-bin. I have set DocumentRoot (I set it to /var/www/html), and there is stuff in there, but Apache just refuses to read it. I do have PHP installed and setup, but this happens even with just an index.html in the folder. Can anyone help me? Googling hasn't produced any worthwhile results.-- Sent from my HP TouchPad. Lappy for sale

2012-03-04 Thread boden.matthews
Hi all,I've got a laptop here I no longer need, so I'm selling it so I can upgrade my desktop. It's a Toshiba Tecra A7, and it has a Core Duo T2300 (runs at 1.66GHz), 1GB of RAM and a ATi Mobility Radeon X1600. It's still pretty fast (runs Counter-Strike: Source at 60fps), but the battery has pretty much carked it (about 30min of life off a 4hr charge), and it only has a 60GB SATA HDD. It's running Windows 7 Ultimate right now, but I can wipe it and stick Ubuntu or any other distro on there for you if you want. I'd like about $150-175 for it, exclusive of any postage. You can pick it up from me too, if you want (I'm in Yeerongpilly). I'll email some pics when my home net connection is working again (probably by sometime tomorrow).

Glad to hear, I've been trying to balance the thin line between
exposure and spam. As far as getting to the event goes it's right in
the heart of the CBD so really public transport should be a breeze. I
personally will have a car full of stuff for the day so I will have to
drive in. I plan on parking in the King George Square Carpark which is
about a block away from the library. The best 3 links to think about
as far as the venue goes are:

The location page for the Brisbane Square library with address details

I was going to bring in a duffel bag full of electrical cables
including 10 or so kettle cords (you know that drawer in your cupboard
full of extension leads and power boards). I figured it would make it
easier when packing up to just say "it's all one persons" rather than
trying to work out who's was what. I have about 5 power boards and 5 -
10 extension leads if we think that's going to be enough.

still to be fulfilled and we're set.

I'm going to bring enough hardware for the actual network
infrastructure (switch, server, wireless access point) but I don't
have heaps of spare network cables. I have the ability to make some as
I have a box of cat6 but I thought instead of spending an evening
making up cables for a one off project that I'll never really have a
use for again is there anyone coming along willing to provide 20 or so
varying length network cables? They will be returned at the end of the
day and I can even organise to pick them up and drop them off if you
aren't able to attend the actual event.

If anyone has access to USB 3g modems that they don't mind some data
use on for the day that would also be useful. I have a telstra home
network gateway I can use but it doesn't have a high data cap and I
think if we start having a bunch of people use it it will get very
slow very quickly.

Light refreshments have been provided for by LibertySys (thanks Paul!)
but if someone wants to get a bit excited and make some specifically
Ubuntu themed cakes or biscuits go nuts.

The Canonical conference pack and table cloths and banners have
arrived so we'll be well adorned on the day combined with previous
posters make up for last year's LCA.

Anyone else have any thoughts about stuff we haven't thought of?

Yeah it sounds like a good idea but I don't know how useful it will

Good to hear, it's not really that time consuming, just an hour or two
a month. Do you get on IRC much these days? We should catch up so I
can run you through how it works.

Nice work! A little birdie told me you will be unavailable the next
couple of months so I thought I'd put it out to the team to see if
anyone else wanted a crash course in team report writing. I have
instruction pages and willing to mentor. If no one pipes up I'll cover
until Sam can get back but thought I'd take this opportunity to let
others have a go as well.

Merging 3 kernels using 1 as base

2011-10-16 Thread boden.matthews
Hey all,I'm working on a port of Ubuntu ARM 11.10 to the HP TouchPad, and I need to compile a kernel for it. I want to use the OMAP4 kernel as a base, while using patches from the CyanogenMod 7.1 Alpha kernel and the MSM Linux Base Enabler kernel, while compiling support for the Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060 chipset and Tenderloin board. Is there anyone who could point me in the right direction to go with this?-- Sent from my HP TouchPad --
