 Ok as most of you would be aware the current status of the ubuntu-au

 now how it will be run in the future.

I believe you are flogging a dead horse. A while ago now, I first heard the
phrase the vocal minority, I thought it was pretty clever at the time. Now
it gets used whenever a groups leadership is challenged. You see,
apparently ubuntu-au locos downfall wasn't the responsibility of the
leadership, but the fault of the vocal minority. But you won't find that said
anywhere logged.

If you speak up, you are labeled a vocal minority, a trouble maker, someone to
watch out for, a kook.

It's coded, been down for years, let it rest in peace.

Well yes I may be, but I still wish to try...

Well this is possible however I feel that the for a group to exist there
needs to be healthy discussion, this has been lacking within the -au
team for some time. As was clearly the case with Andrews proposal, some
were very quick to criticise but not put up an alternative to discuss,
instead chose to simply attempt to make the whole debate a slanging
match. This is why I believe the whole process broke down.

Well I have been called a lot worse over the years! ;-)

No lets attempt to make something worthy of it so the previous work has
essentially not all been for nothing.

If I were you, I would get an irc meeting organised for next week. In the past
they've used a web service to poll for the most popular date and time. ie don't
just say we should have a meeting, step up and organise one.

If I were you, I would add to the agenda if not already there
(from the re-approval email)

Things you can do which can improve the team include:-

* Nominate team leadership
* Consider revising your IRC channel structure
* Holding regular meetings
* Perhaps members could rotate roles within the team

If i were you, I would take the bull by the horns, and define a structure for
the
team leadership before the meeting and add it to the agenda to be discussed
at the meeting. Try to get a consensus for the structure and advertise the
vacant
positions on the list. If that can't be done in a reasonable time frame, ask
Jono
for help.

Me? I'm waiting for my phone to charge so I can go out riding, it's at 98%.
