[Bug 285261] Re: error in update
Thanks for this bug report. However, the actual source of the error has nothing to do with the kdelibs backport -- it is caused by a corrupt package list on your local disk for the linux-restricted-modules-common package, usually arising out of disk corruption. I am 99.995% confident that is not caused by the backport so I am marking this invalid for now. ** Changed in: hardy-backports Status: New => Invalid -- error in update https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/285261 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backports Testing Team, which is subscribed to Hardy Backports. -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports

[Bug 264462] Re: Radeon Driver fails to load on 2 Sep daily [ATI HD3870]
I've built 3 sets of packages, one for each patch and one with both patches together: http://bryceharrington.org/ubuntu/AtiBug264462/ prefhighfb prefhighref prefhighboth Please test each of these and see which one(s) solve the issue if any. The patches themselves look fine to me and low risk, we just need to verify they do solve the issue, and if so what needs committed. -- Radeon Driver fails to load on 2 Sep daily [ATI HD3870] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/264462 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backporters, which is the registrant for Hoary Backports. -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports
[Bug 264462] Re: Radeon Driver fails to load on 2 Sep daily [ATI HD3870]
Sorry, I started doing some packaging on them but I got sidetracked on other issues. Basically, the patches need to be modified to apply to our driver and then verified that they solve the issue before they go in.

Bryce, do you have a preference regarding these two patches? [Bug 275438] Re: Request: Please backport "tor" 0.2.xx to Hardy
The strange thing is that both tor 0.1.2.19-2 and tor 0.2.0.31-1~8.04prevu1 depend on the same libssl0.9.8 (>= 0.9.8f-1) After removing tor from /var/cache/prevu/hardy-debs/Packages installing tor 0.1.2.19-2 is no problem : $ sudo aptitude install tor Reading package lists... [Bug 275438] Re: Request: Please backport "tor" 0.2.xx to Hardy
This is what I get when trying to install tor (build using prevu) using apt-get : $ sudo apt-get install tor [sudo] password for roald: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: tor: Depends: libssl0.9.8 (>= 0.9.8f-1) but it is not going to be installed E: Broken packages -- Request: Please backport "tor" 0.2.xx to Hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275438 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backports Testing Team, which is subscribed to Hardy Backports. -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports
