[Bug 693333] Re: Please backport Hplip

2010-12-22 Thread Herczeg Zsolt
Hi!

A I found a way to install hplip 3.10.9 to an Ubuntu 10.04
First i purged and then installed hplip and sane (and also the related)
packages, to have they clean.
Than I used the .run installer from the hplip.

After that, i had to set up my printer with hp-setup utility, and then
everything works fine.

That was the workaround. You may can make a package, which is easier to
do this.

[Bug 693333] [NEW] Please backport Hplip

2010-12-22 Thread Herczeg Zsolt
Public bug reported:

Please backport hplip 3.10.9 to Ubuntu 10.04 if it's possible.

Now only the hplip 3.10.2 available, which is not support my printer.
The documentation saids, hplip 3.10.9 is supports my printer.

I've tried to install it directly from source
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/hplip/files/hplip/) but I can't use the
sane with this new version of hplip
