Thank  you very much everyone.

I need to admit some thing that I haven't share with the community. As you
know I have planned nuts and bolts about the Bontu-Mintur Adda and some
superb people of the community made it happened. My heartiest Gratitude to
all of them.

But the question is why suddenly I came up with such a huge idea and risk to
make it happen with a almost inactive team in the field, where none where
seeing any hope?

In May and June, I visited Shahriar's office to say, 'Howdy...' and I
figured out something was wrong. I saw a young, energetics boy, whom I knew,
is like slipping off from the edge of the mountain to a dark and endless
mountain. I tried to encourage him but failed. He was disturbed with both
personal (death of father) and other reasons. Bontu-Mintur Adda was a kind
of desperate attempt to revive him back with us. People are mailing,
messaging for congratulating for the success of the Bontu-Mintur Adda. But
today's mail of Shahriar is my real Trophy. I took it as a personal
challenge and have fulfilled it. What can be more enjoyable than win over
yourself.

All of the thanks and congratulation that people have sent me for
Bontu-Mintur Adda, I am dedicating all of the those to our beloved
Shahriar.

OK, enough touchy touchy talks. Let's talk something earthy. Me and Shahriar
were trying to made some important documentation, specially Team Profile /
Portfolio and prepare a draft of written RuleBook for the team. I think we
can start up with new enthu with that project of ours. I have some other
plans and ideas under my cap. Will discuss it at appropriate time.

Again Thank you very all of Ubuntu-BD community. Without you active support
nothing could be done.

থেকেই কিছু বকেয়াও ছিল। একটা ক্যালকুলেটর লাগবে যে।

শাবাব ভাই, আশা করি এখন থেকে উবুন্টু বিডি রকেট এর গতিতে এগিয়ে যাবে।

রাসেল ভাই, আপনি হলেন বাংলাদেশের লিনাক্স জগতের পথীকৃত এবং আপনার দেখানো পথ
ধরেই আজ সবাই এখানে। আপনার প্রতি একটা কথাই বলা যায়, " Hats off to you, My
brother! I envy you!" 

সবাই অনেক অনেক ভালো থাকবেন।

আর ময়ূক ভাই, তুমি আমাকে কবে খাওয়াবা এবং কোথায় বলে দিও।

প্রথমেই রাসেল ভাইকে ধন্যবাদ টিম কন্ট্যাক্ট হিসেবে শাবাব ভাই ও আমাকে নির্বাচন
করার জন্য। এক সময় প্রচুর জোশ থাকলেও ইদানিং একটু ঝিমায় পরেছিলাম আশা করছি
শাবাব ভাইয়ের মতো যোগ্য সহকর্মী পাশে (আসলে পিছনে সুঁই/মোবাইল হাতে নিয়ে) থাকলে
আরও সক্রিয়ভাবে টিমে অবদান রাখতে পারবো।

শাবাব ভাই সাজেদ ভাইয়ের সহযোগীতায় "বুন্টু-মিন্টুর আড্ডা" যেভাবে আয়োজন করেছেন
তাতে তার সাংগঠনিক যোগ্যতা নিয়ে কোন সন্দেহ নেই। তাই ভবিষ্যতেও আমরা আরও
সুন্দরভাবে কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করতে পারবো।

আর কথা হলো টিম লিডার বা কন্ট্যাক্ট পার্সন যাই বলেন না কেনো আমাদের যদি সক্রিয়
"টিম" না থাকে তাহলে সব কাজই ঝিমায় পরে। আশা করি এবার যেমন পরিচিত সবাই
সহযোগীতার হাত বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছিলেন ভবিষ্যতেও সবাই হাত বাড়িয়ে দিবেন।

শাবাব ভাইয়ের শরীর একটু খারাপ মনে হয় তাই উনি কিছুদিন বিশ্রামে আছেন। তার হয়ে
আমি নাহয় শুভেচ্ছাগুলো নিয়ে নেই :P

তোমাকে ধন্যবাদ তুমি ওটা ঠিকই ধরেছো। আমিই আসলে আড্ডায় ওই কথাটা বলতে ভুলেই
গিয়েছিলাম। তবে পাসওয়ার্ড আর ইউজার নেমটা অটো তৈরী হয় না। ওটার জন্য একটা .conf
ফাইলে লিখে দিতে হয়। আমি ওটা custom ডিফল্টেই রেখেছি।


@সবাই এখন থেকে কাস্টম ডিস্ট্রোর ইউজার নেম হিসেবে "custom" ব্যবহার করুন।
পাসওয়ার্ড ফাঁকা থাকবে। আর যে কোন সমস্যায় আমাকে সহজেই মুঠোফোনে পাওয়া যায়
কিন্তু আমি এখন পর্য্যন্ত কোন মুঠোফোন বার্তা কিংবা অন্য কিছুই জানতে পারলাম না
আফসোস।

@লেনিন ভাই + অন্য যাঁরা এ সংক্রান্ত যে কোন জটিলতা এড়াতে আমার মুঠোফোন
নম্বরটিতে সবাইকে যোগাযোগ করতে বলুন।

চাচ্ছিলাম একটু শান্তিমতো ঘুমাতে । কিন্তু কিসের কি শরীর বলছে ঘুমানো দরকার, আর
মগজ বলছে যোগাযোগ বজায় রাখতে। তাই আবার চলে আসলাম আপনাদের মাঝে। যতক্ষন পারবো
থাকবো। আগামী কাল দুপুরের মধ্যেই সব ফাইনাল করে ফেলবো, ইনশাল্লাহ। যদিও ওই
টেকিপাতা গুলো বুধবারে প্লেট হয় তবুও আমি চেষ্টা করবো কাল এবং পরশুর মধ্যে সবার
সাথে সরাসরি দেখা করে কাজটা সম্পন্ন করতে।

[Ubuntu-BD] New leadership of Ubuntu Bangladesh

Dear friends,

It's time for an announcement.

Ubuntu Bangladesh was formed in 28th April 2006 [1], more than 4 years
ago with the vision to create a solid platform for Ubuntu users and
contributors in Bangladesh.  We're are the official local community
team in Bangladesh, recognised by Ubuntu Community Council and
Ubuntu's sponsor Canonical Ltd.  It's been a long journey, and I'm
really glad that with all of your help, support, and contributions
we've been able to achieve most of our major goals.

I've been working as the team leader of Ubuntu Bangladesh throughout
these years, and I've decided to step down and hand over the team
leadership to two our very active volunteers, Shahriar Tariq and
Shabab Mustafa.  They have made a tremendous contribution for our
team, for Ubuntu, and for Linux as a whole, and I strongly believe
that Ubuntu Bangladesh will prosper even more under their new
leadership.  From now on please contact them for all organisational
decision making related issues, they can be reached at shahriar (at)
linux.org.bd and shabab (at) linux.org.bd respectively.

I'll still be around, I'll help with administering our Launchpad page
[2], the mailing list itself, the IRC channel, and our site
ubuntu-bd.org.  Thanks to each and everyone who've helped me
throughout the years, thank you for your never-ending support!

Dear Ring Vai , 


This  is  shishir . We've not introduced with each other . But after the get 
together from tomorrow  I've faced  a  problem  to install ubuntu 10.04 lusiv 
linux . whenever I'm trying  to  run the live cd I can't  get  access cause it 
needs  a  username & password to authenticate . But i've  tried  with  my  own 
given username & password  . And Failed . Then  try  to install the cd in my 
HDD , but can't go to  the  that particular options , but be informed me how to 
take  care  of the  problem . Is this  the  problem  of  the CD burning process 
or  something else . Moreover my boot sequence is  also  okay from  DVD rom . 
Plz give me instruction what can I do now ? 

I think  this  is  problem  of  DVD or you've  to  give  a  user name  &  
password . 

N.B - I've  bought  the  DVD from DU get together .

 আমি অশেষ ধন্যবাদ দিচ্ছি তারেক ভাই, মেহেদী ভাই, লেলিন ভাই এবং রিং দা কে
তাদের দ্রুত সহাতার হাত বাড়িয়ে দিয়ে আমাকে সাহায্য করার জন্য. আমি এখন ব্লুতূথ
বেবহার করেই লিখছি.
আমি নিজে তার বেবহার করেই নেট connection করে থাকি, তাই আমার linax use করতে
কোনো অসুবিধা হয় না. কিন্তু আজ অন্য এক বাসায় মিন্ট সেট আপ  করে বিপদে
পরেছিলাম. কারণ সে ব্লু টুথ বেবহার করে, তার কেবল নেই. তাই তাকে যদি নেট
connectd করে না দিতে পারি, তবে সে হয়ত মিন্ট বেবহার করবে না. তাই শেষ মেষ অন্য
আরেকজন থেকে ডাটা কেবল যোগার করে bluemen ইনস্টল করলাম. এবং হয়েগেল !!
আমদের positive সমালোচনা  করা উচিত. রিং দা কি দেন নাই তা না বলে অনেক কিছু
দিয়েছেন, পরবর্তিতে এটা ওটা দিলে আরো ভালো হতঅভাবে বলা উচিত বলে আমি মনে
করি.

আর একটা কথা, আমি আমার ল্যাপটপ দিয়ে নোকিয়া ৩১১০ এ গান পাঠানোর সময় সর্বোচ্চ
২২০ কিলোবাইট/সেকেন্ট স্পিড পেয়েছি। তাই ব্লুটুথ দিয়ে নেট ব্যবহার করলে স্পিড
খারাপ পাওয়া যাবে এইরকম ভাবার কোন কারণ নেই।

I was unable to join my work today because of clamsiness and exausted body.
Last fifteen days I was too busy with my work and the arrangements of
organizing our greatest ever ADDA named BUNTUMINTURADDA. Today I have
contacted with various newspapers and targeted their weekend techno
reporting and features pages. I have already written the article to be

আশা করি আপনার মুঠোফোনকে আপনি ওটার সাথে দেয়া তারটুকু দিয়ে আপনার কম্পুতে
সংযুক্ত করে ওটাকে মডেম হিসেবে কনফিগার করলে আপনি সহজেই ইন্টারনেটে কানেক্ট হতে
পারবেন। যদিও বা ব্লুটুথ ব্যবহার করে ইন্টারনেটে কানেক্ট করাটা তারমুক্ত তবে
এটাও ঠিক যে আপনি তার দিয়ে সংযোগ করে মডেমের ডাটা ট্রান্সফার যে রেটে করতে
পারবেন তার তুলনায় ব্লুটুথে কম পারবেন। একটু বিবেচনা করে দেখুন আমার কথাগুলো আর
সিদ্ধান্ত নিন।


প্রথমত, ডিস্ট্রো তৈরির সময় সফটওয়্যারের লিস্টটি সবার সাথে মতবিনিময় করে তৈরি
করা উচিৎ ছিলো। ক'দিন আগেই আবীর সাদিক ভাই একটা ডিস্ট্রো'র জন্য সবার মতামত
চেয়েছিলেন। সুতরাং সেই ধরণের একটি লিস্ট অনুসরণ উচিৎ ছিলো।

দ্বিতীয়ত, ব্লুটুথ দিয়ে সংযোগ তারের সংযোগের চেয়ে খুব একটা মন্থর হয়না। বরং
ব্লুটুথ তারবিহীন হওয়াতে অযথা ঘর্ষণজনিত ক্ষয়প্রাপ্ত হওয়া থেকে সেটটি বেঁচে
যায়।

তৃতীয়ত, যিনি মেইল করছেন তিনি অন্য কোনো মাধ্যমেও যেহেতু নেটে সংযোগ করতে
পারছেন, সুতরাং তিনি ব্লুটুথ সংক্রান্ত পোস্টগুলো
http://ubuntubd.wordpress.com অথবা http://nirjhor.wordpress.com থেকে দেখে
নিতে পারেন বিস্তারিত। ডিস্ট্রো সিডিতে নেই সেই অজুহাতে ওটা আর ব্যবহার করা
উচিৎ হবে না তা নয়।

চতুর্থত, লাইভ সিডিতে ইউজারনেম বা পাসওয়ার্ডটি দেয়া হয়েছে সেটি কোনো ঘোষণা
দেয়া হয়নি। অনেকেই মেইল, ফোন, মেসেজ করছেন।

আপনাকে অনেক অনেক ধন্যবাদ। আমি রিং, এই ডিস্ট্রোটা সংকলিত করেছি। গতকাল ভোর
৬টায় আমি এই ডিভিডিগুলোকে ম্যানুফাকচার করি। তবে তখন পর্য্যন্ত ঘুনাক্ষরেও মনে
হয়নি যে, আপনার মতো যাঁরা ব্লুটুথ ডিভাইস ব্যবহারকারী আছেন তাঁরা ইন্টারনেট
কানেকশান করতে গিয়ে বিপদে পড়তে পারেন। তাহলে ব্লুম্যান টাকে যোগ করেই আইএসওটা
বানাতাম।

আমি আসলে এই দরিদ্র দেশের চিপায় চাপায় থাকা হতদরিদ্র বুন্টু আর মিন্টুদের
লক্ষ্য করে এই আইএসওটাকে বানিয়েছি। যাঁরা কিনা কোনমতে একটা পিসি আর আমার সংকলিত
এই ডিভিডিগুলো কে ব্যবহার করে কোনরকম ইন্টারনেট ডাউনলোডের ঝামেলা এড়িয়ে নিজেদের
কাজ চালিয়ে নিতে পারেন। তদুপরি যদিও বা তারা এই বাংলায়, কোনমতে, জিপি মডেম
কিংবা জুম আলট্রা কিংবা ব্রডব্যান্ড মডেমের সৌজন্যে ইন্টারনেটে কানেক্ট হবার
খায়েশ করেন তবে তাঁদের এহেন খায়েশ যেনো পুরা হয়, সে ব্যবস্থা করতেই যতরকম
ইউএসবি মডেম আর সিকিউরড ডিএসএল কানেকশান প্যাকেজ দরকার তা এই আইএসও তে দিয়েছি।
আশা করি আপনার মুঠোফোনকে আপনি ওটার সাথে দেয়া তারটুকু দিয়ে আপনার কম্পুতে

Thanks a lot everybody who kindly helped me regarding login. Yes!  I
have successfully logged in. I have installed mint too. Everything is
great! Special thanks to him who customaized softs.
But alas! I have failed to connect to internet with my N72 and a usb
bluetooth device! So i m using my phone to find help. Can you help me
pls?

You need to install blueman bluetooth manager. You will found it at software
center. Search for it and install it. After installing it, open the
bluetooth manager, pair it. Then from the setup option, connect it to Dialup
Networking(DUN). Now connect it from the network manager.

[Ubuntu-BD] Help needed to blutooth net connection

It worked.
I have just installed mint 9. All things are fine, except net
connection. I tried to connect my n72 with a usb blutooth device to
get net connection. Wizard finds my phone, i can connect it to pc but
what next? How to connect to internet? No option in network or
blutooth icon in task bar.
Please help me to connect net via blutooth?
